Answering message says calling from Amazon, didn't refer to me by name, about a suspicious purchase of $410; they want me to call back to this number. First, I checked online and there is no order from Amazon placed on my account and the credit card that I use whenever purchasing from them has no such purchase either. I'm pretty sure that if I call that number that they will want my credit card information....isn't going to happen.

SCAM - said was social security and my social security number had been compromised.
I just hung up after i heard that info.

I have just read the above and it is all similar.  I did call the number back.  The guy asnwered and I knew he was of foreign nationality.  I asked, are you american?  Complete silence on the other end.  I hung up

Has anybody notified Amazon about this scam?
