My son got a text to call this number because "their was activity on his credit union account." We called the number and got a recording asking for his account number and ATM card & PIN.  We hung up and immediately called Allegius Credit Union number to find that this was a scam.

DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO to the request at this number, unless you want someone to mess with your account. IT IS A SCAM.

My wife Got a text saying to call Allegius CU at 888-414-5937 about unusual activity. Allegius does not have her cell number so I punched it into google and ended up here.

Police warn of scam

PORTAGE | Portage police are warning people about a scam involving Allegius Credit Union.

Sgt. Keith Hughes said his department has received several reports from people saying they have received text messages from Allegius Credit Union saying their account has been compromised and asking them to call a toll-free number to report personal information.

Hughes said the texts are scams and people should not call the phone number sent to them.
