- tazman replies to EricIf what you are saying is true then why does the number call non Verizon customers? and they do ask for credit card information so I don't know what message you're getting but the one I'm getting tells me I need to pay my FiOS bill which I don't even know what that is and it asked for my credit card information to pay such bill, so again you must be one in on this scam
- tazman replies to JustinWell the message I get says please pay your FiOS bill or you will lose all your services, I don't know what FiOS is I don't have it all I have is a cell phone on a prepaid plan with verizon, also Verizon told me that this phone number is not one of theirs
- This GuyIt's Verizon asking to be paid.
- Caller: Verizon
- LCThis is a scam. They are NOT Verizon. Do not call or attempt to pay any bills to them. Can't believe they also sent me an email that also looked really legit. They must have access to Verizon Customer data and are able to scam a few people that fall for it.
Just BLOCK this number if they are calling your iPhone. This is so annoying.- Caller: Scam
- BurritoIt's Verizon. Call them back and you will find out. Verizon
- RobertThis number belongs to Verizon it's their automated bill reminder service as I have FIOS.
So it is Verizon and not a scam.- Call type: Debt collector
- Gramma replies to MargaretSo what.....you got the gist of the message, didn't you.
- Angelique replies to jim| 1 replyI let my answering get the call and the message that was left, "This is a test call," and then they hung up.
- Jay| 1 replyIts just Verizon Customer Service people. "relax" it's not a scam.
- Caller: Verizon
- george FreemanI get these 888 423 0900 phone calls on my cell? I have direct payment from bank account for Verizon services.
- Caller: alleged to be Verizon
- JE replies to AngeliqueI think is may be one their "survey" calls. I had an interaction with one of their customer service (oxymoron) reps this morning and shortly after I got a call from that number probably wanting to know how happy I was with their rep. Didnt answer it since I did not recognize the number but immediately came here to 800notes.com and found this thread. I dont think they really wanted to know the answer anyway!
- Jimmy replies to georgeyes. it is Verizon.
- DeeThis number called and left some automated message claiming to be Verizon. The message said that it was calling concerning a letter I should have received due to a scheduled "interruption" for my Verizon account. Said that I should call the number back, or I should call some other 888 number for tech support. This is definitely not Verizon calling. It's a blatant scam. They will want you to give them account information, and maybe even bank information. Do not fall for this. Just block the number and ignore it anytime it calls. Verizon's customer service numbers are all 1-800 numbers with only one tech support number being a 1-866 number. There have also been scammers trying to call to claim that they were my bank without a legit phone number as well. Not falling for it. Any concerns you have with Verizon, call their legitimate numbers on their official website. If it is really Verizon, it would state it on your caller ID instead of "Unavailable" WITH the correct number.
- Caller: Claims to be Verizon - it's NOT - Scam
- Alison| 1 replyAccording to White pages reverse look up this number is marked as 3/4 spam level. As I read the comments left I found this one interesting, "Verified with Verizon that this is not theirs. It's a fake service center in India. - by Anonymous User - 8 Days ago - Marked this call as other spam

- pc boston replies to Alisonid as Verizon. I am amazed how many posters are all over the ball park on this one.
Verizon clearly identifies themselves as they have always done. They don't want a
call back with 9-yards of BS. - falennon replies to JayI don't have Verizon anything (never have), yet this number (and some variations) calls me frequently claiming to be Verizon. Sometimes I get a robot-auto VM asking me to call them back regarding my Verizon account (again, never have had any account with Verizon) and other times no VM is left. Do you believe everything people say on the phone? As common as this number seems to be, if it were a customer service, it would be posted on Verizon's website or on account information or something. The only association I find with Verizon is in these types of forums. Regardless, it may or may not be a scam, but the incessant calling to those who aren't even customers can be viewed as harassment.
