When I look up the number it showed it was for a company that is no longer in business. The people calling say they are helping people get their student loans forgiven. When I told the guy my student loan was less than 10,000 he said well I can help you if there not over 10,000 before I had a chance to ask a another question he hung up. So I called right back because I felt like that was very rude to just hang up like that. When I did the waiting music just played for about 5mins straight waiting to see if someone would answer

I got a text from 1877 523 3081 that my student loan is flagged for dismissal pending final verification and to call 888-430-5866.  I do have a loan from college, so I called back and there was just music for a while, so I hung up.  I am blocking this number now.  I thought it was from my school.

The wording may throw you off but it is some commercial venture sending these mass texts out.  They are trying to make money. Don't bother contacting them.

keep getting calls from this number even though i am on the do not call list anything i can do ?

You can add this number to your Call Block list. If you do not have call blocking enabled, you might want to check the documentation of your phone and service provider to enable it.
