- Sandy| 1 replyCalled leaving a message at work stating that it was in regards to a worthless check, breach of contract, and attempt to defraud a financial institution. All lies. Gave me a case number too. He said he was with Legal Mediation. How do these people get your cell phone number?

- WTF Can I do...| 4 repliesI am really tired of all these people calling randomly saying they are going to serve me paper work knowing good and well they don't know what the hell they are talking about but I am really about to be bold and ask them what their address is going there and slapping each and everyone of them upside the head. Like if you are that dumb you deserve a dummy slap...
- Caller: IDK (I don't know)
- HELLO replies to SandyHey Sandy what was the case number they gave you I am trying to see if the one they gave me goes with yours cause if it does, I know they are a scam...
- KeithI got the same call my self. I just changed my number and they found it. not sure on where they get numbers but its scarey.
- JonathanAfter my uncle passed away, about 2.5 years ago I traveled to New York from Hawaii in order to pay my respects. During that trip, my phone died and as a result I decided to opt out of my previous calling plan with ATT. I soon went over to Verizon and as a result I accepted a new number under the cognitive pretense that doing so was a good metaphoric way of letting go of some old things; at the time I was grieving...
Within days of returning back to Hawaii I began receiving calls from various numbers asking for a man named "Eric Smith." I remained cordial and respectful and imagined that the issue would be resolved. Guess what? 2.5 years later I continue to be harassed, receiving phone calls consistently at 3am. When they have called at a reasonable time I have picked up the phone, hoping that each time will be the last time that I must endure a tone of rudeness, disrespect, arrogance, insensitivity, un-provoked hang-ups among other comments too long to list...
So today, once again I received another call while at work and this time I decided to push back, fed up to the max....
At this time I am waging a war of sorts. I have meticulously set up a system that each and every time I receive a call from these "bottom feeders" I jam up their system. As to the specifics of how I am able to do this I will keep to myself at this time. But I can assure anyone on this blog, that these scum-suckers WILL NOT respond to anything less than the aforementioned protocol and tactics. And, in the highest of truths I can't be sure if my plan will be successful but I do know that they are beginning to wish that they never bothered me...
They are a lawless institution that ensure a corporate culture of entitlement with a confrontational attitude. The tone of their workers is that they are entitled to harass me continually in the name of a nameless dollar that I do not owe to them, by any means that they deem necessary, even when they are told time and time again that I am not the person that they are looking for. So I have chosen to fight back; and fighting I am and will continue to do.
I am tired of this harassment. I am tired of being a victim and know all of you are as well. It just took me a really long time to get fed up. And now that I am at my wits end, I have begun to unleash a response that is intended to have them change their entire game plan, company policy, and to force them to revisit their "handbook from hell." Let the war of peace begin...

Nobody actually calls ahead before serving papers except scammers who don't have
any papers to serve. - HeatherI get the same calls and have been researching them. They can not give me any proof I owe any money. So @ this time I can only believe they are a scam. How do I report them and stop the harassment?
- RicnessMy Daughter was scammed by a guy as it turned out his last name was Gotti. They dated for about a month and he told her that his father was in the hospital and only had a few days to live. He told my daughter that his father was going to give him $10,000.00 if he traveled to his death bed. He talked my daughter into loaning him $1000.00 and he would pay her back when he returned. She didn't have it so she borrowed it from Western Sky at an intrest rate of 125% with a $500.00 service charge. She never heard from the guy again. She made 9 payments of $221.00 dollars for a total of just shy of $2000.00. She asked me to help her get out of debt and when I checked out this loan they told me her Payoff was $1500.00. I offered them $500.00 and they said it was $1500.00 or nothing. I closed the checking account that they were debiting and told her not to give them another dime more! Western Sky has been shut down but this Mr. Irvin appears to be tring to collect. DO NOT GIVE HIM A DIME. The courts in NY and many other states will throw out any claims.

- Katie| 1 replyI've had a couple different companies call me about this pay day loan.
The debt is a payday loan from 2 or 3 years ago. I remember paying the debt. The company states they cannot send anything to me in writing. I asked for the address and the ones they have me is listed with the BBB as a returned address. Last week, I received multiple calls a day for about 3 days a week. Threats as they are taking me to court, and comments about my credit. On 4/15/14 they called at 4:27pm from a "no caller ID". No message was left. The only reason I know it was them was because on 4/16/14..they called from "no caller ID" and left a message. I still have the message, and she just says her name is "ms. Davis and she is calling about a pending case and needs to speak with me about signing off on it.".. No company name at all. Just a number and her extension. I called the number back and it states "you've reached the office of ms Davis and I am unable to take your call. If you are calling about a paying or pending case please leave your name and number with case # and I will get back to you." I called again and she answered. She then introduced herself, and started talking about the debt. She didn't say what company she was from and avoided it when I asked her. She kept talking over me, I asked again and she said STP. She states she is calling about a pay day loan, with St. Armand's. When STP had called before I've asked for information to be sent in writing regarding the debt and they say they can email me. She then starts making harassing comments to me, and everything else. I hang up. 5 mins later she calls back and I inform her under the Fair Collections Act she's called me twice in one day, and also called before 8am. She then says "oh, you're going to get a lawyer? How can you afford this if you can't pay the loan back ? You were happy to take the loan, but you can't pay it back." I then advised her that everything she is doing is completely illegal and to have a nice day, and hung up the phone. Please, help me!!!- Caller: STP

If they won't send you a statement of the debt and send it by US mail only, then ignore 'em.

See: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection - Mr Irvin's NemesisAnyone that calls you from this number (888-433-9791) and is using tactics as; there is a warrant for your arrest, or "I am an assistant for the county clerk" is illegal. If any of these callers, call your work place and speak to anyone else other than you and provide ANY kind of information about you is very illegal. Once you advice the harassing caller to remove your work number from their system they HAVE to take your work place phone number off their list, they MUST abide by FTC law (federal). That means any phone number that connects to ANY employee of your work place. I have provided a link to help any of you stop the harassment especially at your work place. Contact the FTC on the site I provided expressing the harassment that is taking place.
You can thank Me later Mr. Ivin, Mr. Vernon, and Mr. Barrnett, and everyone else at that office.
