- Jean T| 1 replyI totally disagree with everyone here - we use Stamps.com and love it - we are a small business and from what we were paying Pitney Bowes this is a great money saver. You can print stamps, labels, and shipping documents for boxes. The system comes with a free scale but we elected to buy a scale from them that would take more weight than the free one and everything is working great.

Same here. Use them for my internet mail order business. No issues and good service. I suspect that many of these people had the card number hijacked and used by the thief to get free postage. - Cindyluhu replies to NickI didn't get a call from them, but I think I signed up for this service by mistake. The website is all decked out to look like the US postal service and they tell you to set up an account to be able to print postage at home. I got the account so I could print postage for my small Etsy/Ebay business. But they don't tell you they charge a monthly fee even if you don't use the service. I made them reverse the fees and cancel the account.

- FallingGator replies to S| 2 repliesLoL...you guys make me laugh with this "it's a scam" stuff. They are a major company that offer a service. That service is postage and shipping services. I'm not quite sure you people know the definition of a scam. Let me help you... A scam is a fraudulent attempt to obtain money or other items of value. They provide a service, and you pay them money for it. This is a contract, not a scam. If you don't want their services than cancel, or don't sign up to begin with. I have a hard time believing these people who say "Well, I never even visited their site." These are the same people who neglect to mention that they tried to open a small ebay business about the same time the charges started or something like that. They don't just magically acquire your credit card information. You or someone with access to your card had to give it to them at some point.
- qwerty replies to FallingGatorNice job reviving a dead thread and replying to a post that's six years old! What brought you here anyway?
- David replies to FallingGatoryes stamps.com is a scam
- Sharon BlumStamps.com is a legitimate business. They never call to get you to sign up with them, they send emails. If someone is calling you from Stamps.com it's because you have a new account with them and they are checking to see if they can help in any way, which they did when they called me. There may be scammers calling you saying they are stamps.com, but they probably aren't.
- scott fThis number is from a shady outfit called stamps.com. They sell a supposedly free 30 day trial package to use their mailing services , where you print your own postage, and also labels. It goes like this: the offer is supposedly free, you can cancel any time. They say they need your credit card number because the US Postal service needs to verify your address. Then they do a sneak attack on your credit card account for 15.99 a month as long as you don't notice it, and never give you any notification that they are doing this. If you don't catch it, your out, and they make it very difficult to get out of, endless holds on calls etc. They have been sued for millions of dollars by various government agencies, and had to make large payouts and settlements for deceptive business practices. We lost $800 over 4 years to this outfit before we discovered it. Be warned! Cancel your credit card if you see a withdrawal from them, when you call them to stop their "service" they will immediately ding you for more money before you can get it stopped. They try to masquerade as the US Postal Service, using official logos, etc-but they are not. They are shifty vendors.

and all you people don't read the fine print when you sign up do you?
stamps.com is a service that you PAY MONTHLY FOR.
when you sign up they ask for your card info but they don't charge right away because they give you a free trial.
Even if you don't use it, they still charge you if you don't cancel your account. Do you people not know how most services work? they charge you monthly, after the free trial. jesus people.- Caller: Stamps.com
- Mark| 1 replyIt's just Stamps.com - not a scam.

- Redhorse89I signed up for Stamps.com's free month, but after reading the fine print about a monthly service charge, cancelled. They have been around for a long time, and are legitimate, so really, don't people read the details before they sign up?

- NunuvYerBiznissI canceled with stamps.com yesterday. This call must be fake. They called again today and said my acct was still open. Lady there refused to hear my cancel conf # but instead WANTED MY PHONE NUMBER AND NAME! She put me on hold instead to speak with supervisor. I spoke with Gary, supervisor who said my acct is definitely closed. He also said I may get more calls. I will report them to my Attorney General if calls continue. This sounds like a scam call.
