Calling on my job theating me by saying their going to serve my letters

This number called my house today and left a message for someone that I don't even know. Said they were going to serve papers on him. Never said what it was about. It seems funny they call people, leave a VM and don't even know if that person lives there or no.. HOw stupid..

These may be scammers. The woman who called me is supposedly a paralegal working for the United Law Firm of Phoenix, AZ.  When I called the AZ Bar association, there is no such law firm. I was told to call the "firm" back and get the name of the attorney handling the case.  When I did, they hung up on me, then they transferred me back to the prior woman who also had hung up on me, when I asked her for an address for the firm.  Then I got an uneducated girl telling me that "she didn't have to give me no information if she don't want to."

They claim that I owe money on a 4-year old payday loan, and when I ased for information regarding the loan, I was told that they mailed it to me 45 days ago (I don't recall ever getting anything from them), that it wasn't sent certified, registered, or receipt requested, and that they're not obligated to share the info with me at this point.  They're just going to serve me papers to appear in court.

if you receive harassing calls from these people, you should email the bar assn also.

Trying to get info on 1-888-434-6824. Calls claiming to have issued a summons for bad checks.  Very rude.  Can't seem to get any info from them.  Who can I report this to?
