Scanner All The Way. DON'T Fall for their False Threats And DON'T Provide them with ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. Demand Proof of their false claims which By Law, they Are Required To Provide.

The callers pretended to be attorneys: at first the callers told me they needed to talk with my husband about a matter that they were dealing with.  if we did not contact them they would have no choice but to file the issue with the court in our county.  During one call they even mentioned a (fake) docket number.  The last call I received yesterday.  The number was blocked but they left a voice message stating that, since we did not contact them they had no choice but to use the arrest warrant and come arrest my husband.  I called the local sheriff's office and was told that indeed this is a SCAM.  DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY.

Here's the secret to making these calls stop:

Turn the tables on them. These debts are all beyond the Statutes of Limitations. Call them, I mean repeatedly. Ask questions, ask for their business Licence number for your state, ask for the attorneys bar #, ask for their address, ask them anything. They cannot threaten you with any kind of criminal litigation. they cannot, in fact, do anything. Any location information they give you will be false. They know that they are breaking the law and will do everything they can to avoid giving their exact location.
Rebecca, Ronald Thomas, and Mr Harris all hung up on me repeatedly. Harass them like they harass you.
they identified themselves as CCR & Associates and Cornerstone Mediations.

Called saying if didn't clear up a matter in their office ..I would no longer be able to operate a motor vehicle..Seriously do they think I really believe that??

they called threatening a felony charge against me and threatened to send a server to my job if I didn't agree to make payment arrangements immediately. they named off a legit bill I do owe and have my personal information but when I requested proof of debt I got a rude and up helpful reply.

Never deal with the debt collectors by phone.  US mail only.  You don't know who is calling you and whether or not they have the legal right to collect.  If you do talk to them remember--

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

They called me this morning and left a VM stating he was a ivestagator for the state of CA and Was calling regarding check fraud reported against me.  He then left his name, a file # thatI needed to have when iI called the PROSECUTING Attorneys office immediately to deal with said charges. The phone # is the one u r all complaining of.  I called them back and in  no uncertain terms told them to go screw themselves.  And just for the hell of itI have been calling them most of the morning to harrass them.  : .  Do not fall for this scam..... the two namesI at got today was Brian and a woman named Albright

Just received the same call, left a voice msg saying I needed to call them immediately re: the incident? Hmm what incident? It was Mr. Harris. Called from 631-318-3183, but told me must call bk 888-434-8181. This is getting so old, I just don't answer my phone anymore unless I know the phone number.

I just received the same phone call this morning ! Same exact situation. When I asked them told send me a copy of the debt I owe she (Rebecca Moorehouse) hung up on me. ITS ALL A SCAM!

Have  been calling me the last couple of days making all sorts of threats. Tired of the mess, something needs to be done. # is blocked but they'll leave this phone # to call them back
