They caller (perhaps first name of Jackie) let my wife understand that they were calling about renewing TV
guide because our subscription was running out.  Our subscription has over a year left and TV Guide indicated that they never call about renewing.  This company is known as Northshore Publishers, 30 Eastern Ave,Malden, MA 02148.  My wife said she wanted to renew, but did not realize that we had already renewed for two years and wanted to cancel any renewal actions.
Upon calling Northshore at  781-324-3890 and speaking to Joan, she indicated that she would inform Jackie of the reason we did not want to have the renewal action to take place and that she would have Jackie call me, but she (Jackie) never did.  Also, I am currently waiting for return calls from Both Jackie and Joan.  It should be noted that the original call was unsolicited and we are on the no call list.

Northshore publishing contacted my ederly mother to renew her TV guide. She already has a subscription. They billed her 39.41 each installment of 6 installments ($240.00). They somehow got her debit card to pay for installments. Unluckily my mother does not remember this. I didn't catch this til 6 mths later and tried calling the number. Answering machine said mailbox was full and disconected me. What a scam.

File a police report and go to the bank.  Legally they are not obligated to do anything, but if you are good customers, they might be able to help you out.  Also file a report with both the FTC and your State Attorney General's Office and your State Elder Abuse Office if it has one.

Northshore Publishers Service contacted my 96 yr old mother to discuss her TV Guide subscription. It expired 2 years prior. Northshore was able to "sell" her a new subscription for $39.41 per month for 6 months = $236.46 for a subscription that TV Guide sells on their website for $20/year. They conned my mother into giving her bank account information and have stolen 9 payments from her bank account for a total of $354.69. When I called they said they began the subscription on May 31, but they started charging her bank account in January. When I questioned their practices they said I needed to send them a copy of the front and back of the checks - there is no front and back as they are taking the money electronically. This is truly a fraudulent company that preys on elderly people.

I received a call from Northshore Publishers 10 -10–19.  They tried to sell me TV Guide for $39.41 in 6 installments which came to $236.46.  When I received the bill I thought that was too high.  I just paid $88.00 on 6-6-18 for two years.  I called them and cancelled the .order and followed up with my credit card company.  This is a scam because they offered me only 3 payments of $39.41 and this was for 104 issues of TV Guide and 12 issues of Family Circle.  Will go through Fraud Dept. at credit card company if it shows up.  Here’s hoping!!!!

"Here's hoping!!!!" what exactly? Do you WANT to have to deal with the fraud department @ your credit card company? I would think you'd be hoping it DOESN'T show up. But that's just me.

If you have a subscription with them, that means you have a business relationship with them and thus the DNC list doesn't apply.

the Northshore publishers have deducted $ 39.41 for 6 installments for TV guide magazine. I had no problems until now. I received a bill yesterday from tv guide in the mail yesterday regarding same. Amount of $39.41 has been deducted from my checking account electronically. I will not duplicate for anyone or thing and would like to stop dealing with this so called company. I complained to the do not call registry and will contact the bank and federal trade commission tomorrow. I do not need to be on anyone's sucker list. Enough is enough. Thank you. This company needs to be investigated and be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

The DNC registry has nothing to do with bank transactions.  Why have you not contacted your bank?  Seems like you are going to complain to places that can't help you.  By the way, TV guide can be had for a year for $19.99.
