- JennaThis number called both my place of employment and cell phone claiming they would dispatch legal papers to my home and/or place of business within 2 hours and that there would be 3 attempts to do so. She went on to say that if I could not be served I would unfortunately be classified as being unable to be served. They left an "888" number and case number to reference. I am behind on a bill or two but not to the point where I would be having papers served to me. The most upsetting part is they left the message with the receptionist at work. That's pretty embarrassing for me. I'm not calling back as I don't believe they are legitimate since a legitimate company would not leave such a message with just anyone who answered a phone. After reading feedback and posts on other sites I believe this could be a scam. Lauren called my place of employment and Lana phoned my cell phone 12 minutes apart. I'm sure they will call again and my place of employment has already been advised to let them know they do not accept personal messages.

Then on Thursday the same people called my landlord and gave him some bogus court # ( which didn't have enough #'s to be an actual case #) Complete SCAM... IF you are going to "serve" me papers in 2 hrs you don't call me to tell me that.... Go get a LIFE LOOSERS!!!!!!!!

- Cheri| 1 replyI recieved an unknown call from international document servers as well, I have a voicemail from Alex, who Stated my name and that it was their 3rd. attempt to serve papers to a girl named Carrie Wipke. to call their litigating firm at 888-480-7564 and refer to case # 15-42-054.
My thoughts are first of all, the guy said uhmm between every other word, making it seem very unproffesional. Also, I do not know anybody with the name he said. It all seemed very smelly.
I attempted to search for Carrie Wipke and the case #. There were no results as to a true case. But a book on i tunes called "Matter Estate Emma Soengen v. Carrie Wipke"
Hopefully the people who are making these threatening calls will find a new hobby.- Caller: international document servers
- BigA replies to CheriNo they won't because this isn't a hobby, it is their livelihood. They are criminals.
This is a common ploy by criminals attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. They also use the “process server” who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number. Now why would a “process server” want to do you, a stranger, a favor, and at the same time not get paid to deliver the papers?
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
