- SallyBerryLady with a foreign accent said she is calling from a third party, "inform data," to verify employment on behalf of the DOT. Background sounds of a foreign call center. She spoke too fast. I informed her that I was uneasy about the legitimacy of the call and ended our conversation.

- James| 5 repliesThis is a legitimate business, I've confirmed by looking at their website myself. A person called me personally instead and left a voicemail. it was for someone who use to work for me, after I called them to confirm they had applied for a new position at a company and just listed down my number as they didn't have the companies HR number. After speaking with them, I called the Company back and informed them of this and provided the number to our HR so they could confirm the details.
The person was polite just though me for a loop until I understood why I was getting calls from them. We all have been there when applying for a job and not knowing all the information to put down on the app so we just put the first thing that comes to mind for anyone we know that works there.- Caller: InformData

Having a website does not make a business "legitimate". It seems that you are a shill for this outfit. Big mistake on your part coming here to tell lies.Quote:This is a legitimate business, I've confirmed by looking at their website myself. - post pending moderator approval

- CC| 1 replyI'm a registrar at a high school. They called to verify enrollment for a student I didn't have. This number along with "informdata" appeared on my work phone. Seemed really weird and unprofessional but not a scam and not a robodialer. Also, I do not have a direct line so she would have had to "press 1 for student records". She asked for my name and I provided it and she asked "and you are the registrar correct?" I answered yes. I informed her that student whose name she provided was not in our records. She then said she would mark down that they got the wrong number, then made some hemming and hawing sounds like "ummmm uhhhhh" then she hung up without saying anything else. If it's a scam it's a really weird scam, but at the same time, if it's an enrollment verification call they need to really vet their employees better. As a public high school employee my name and title are on the internet for anyone to see so I'm not sure what she would have gained from the call.

- BigA replies to CCShe would have gained information on an underage person for starters. I find it hard to believe that you would release information to people who simply call you up without some sort of vetting. Especially information on High School Students.
- ABCalled my Office for a random company, they were informed that you have a wrong number then they start asking information about my business which we declined to provide, they called again and again asking to verify an employee which never existed. Always asking for information about my company, but she was denied.
