text supposedly from PayPal, apparently re a purchase alleged to have been made by me.  There is nothing noted re an item, only a "tracking ID" number, and an amount, "$862.63".  Text advises me to call +18885183808, "to report or dispute".  Googled that number, of course, no info.  Checked my accounts, nothing at all re that amount.  There are, no surprise, on Google, numerous 'hits', re PayPal scams.  I guess this type of scam is called 'phishing', an attempt to coerce ignorant folks to call the number, so that the phish 'artist', can get your personal financial accounts information.  Best advice - DO NOT RESPOND to phish/scam attempts, ever.  They want your information and are extremely good at harvesting that info if IF you call them back.  Go online and Google re scam/phish attempts for info.  Contact PayPal, here, the scammer used that company's logo, and get a legitimate number or email address, and contact them for info.  Monitor your accounts, and contact your banking institutions if necessary.  Be both careful and vigilant.

I wish for this scammer to have the worst Karma score and suffer greatly for their illegal activities as well as all their associates.
