- Dee| 1 replyIt's SPAM. I received the call and had them leave a voicemail. They claimed to be MBNA - a credit card company. When I tried to call I got an automated service asking me to enter the last 4 digits of my credit card. I entered 0000. They told me that was invalid and to try again, so I did - 0000. Then they told me that was invalid and to enter my 16 digit credit card number. I entered 16 0's. I was then placed on hold as "all of our representatives are currently busy" at which point I hung up.

Their call is automated, they do not say who they are calling for (scammer ? auto dialef ?), they do not say what the 'important situation' is ...!!!

- Tammy replies to MBNA Scam Warchdog 🐕| 2 repliesIt's a scam...they tried calling me a few minutes ago, but left no message. MBNA would definitely not call you...you would be contacted by mail. This is the third time I've received a scammer's number...how in hell do they get our numbers?? Mine's unlisted...
- LinaThey claimed to be from MBNA. He said I missed my last payment and asked me how much of it I would want to pay today. I said I never received a statement. He then asked for my address at which point I said no as he should have that on file. I said I'll just pay online. He said they have a feature where I can set up auto payment so I never miss any payments again; do I want to set that up today? I said no and he sounded defeated, I hung up. Auto payments are set up with banks, not with the credit cards.
SCAMS! Not even a good scammer because he sounded unprofessional and not very confident. Pretty easy to see through.- Caller: SCAM
- Marc| 1 replyReceived repeated calls from this numbe. I finally decided to answer it. It sounded like a call centre in the background and when I said hello the guy said sorry wrong number and hung up.
- peterTwo consecutive days now and other previous days. When our voice stating we are not available -please leave a message starts the call cuts off at about the first three words of our message.
- East VanIf you have or had a MBNA credit card such as Master card and you keep getting calls from 1 888 or 1 866 etc. numbers and you want to find out if its legit I would recommend calling the customer service number on your MNBA statement and tell them the number that has been harassing you to see if its coming from them ...I did and that took care of that .....

- East Van replies to MarcHave they then stopped calling you ??? It would be nice to know the rest of your experience with this number as its been over 10 weeks since you posted your message ...thanks Marc. I'll hang up and listen now ....
- East Van replies to Tammy| 1 replyMBNA will most definitely call you if your credit card payments are late an and your card is in danger of being canceled ...This just happened to me ,,MBNA kept calling me and leaving me messages ..Identifying them selves as MBNA ..I called the customer service number on my last statement ..It happened that the last couple of statements got returned to them ..I didn't get them so didn't pay anything ...I'm in an apartment so I assume the post man was putting my statements in the wrong unit ...anyway they were very nice to deal with , I got them to wave any and all interest and I went and made a payment ...But Yeah they were calling me every day ...so if you have a credit card call the customer service and see if its them thats calling you ...And click my ..""THUMB UP ICON "".....Thanks ...and best of luck ....drop me a reply ....

Yes, it is an automated call. Yes, they will call from multiple numbers. No, it is not spam. Pay your minimum amounts due on time and you won't get these calls.
