It's a scam, just got a text from this number saying it was generated by my local hospital,  seems to be connected to other hospitals too. I called my local hospital and they report that they never send texts about billing issues. When in doubt,call your medical providers directly. Don't fall for it.

received 2 texts about hospital bill and to call this number. called from land line and got indian male who put on hold. Indian female came on and could not identify which hospital they were billing for. She listed over a dozen health care systems but she couldn't narrow down to which one or what it was about.

Got the same text (different hospital).  I thought it was odd to get a text about hospital billing.  I called the hospital, that is not their billing number, they only have one number.

Text from 888-485-8277 saying "We have an important message from Cape Canaveral Hospital Billing Department. Please call 1-888-525-3121. msg & Data Rates may apply. To OPT OUT of msgs, please reply STOP." I work for this hospital organization and the billing department would not send texts.

Got the same, looked up Canaveral phone #s, not on there at all; must be a scam.

Text from 888-503-5687.  We have an important message from the George Washington University Hospital Billing Department.  Please call 1-855-525-3121.  Msg and Data rates may apply.

This is the name of the hospital closest to me, where I recently had treatment. I called back and a recording informed me that they billing department is closed and to leave my phone number and account number.   My cell phone number is from another state so I don't know how they tied me to this hospital.

We have an mportant billing message from Manatee Memorial Hospital. Scam they called before

Received the following text:
"You may be eligible for a courtesy discount on your balance with Mcallen Medical Center.
Please call the Billing Department at 1-888-525-3121.
Msg & Data Rates may apply.
To OPT OUT of msgs, please reply STOP."

Considering how similar it is to the others on this page, I would assume it is a scam.

Received text today "You may be eligible for a courtesy discount on your balance with (LOCAL HOSPITAL NAME).  Please call the Billing Department at 1-888-525-3121.  Msg & Data Rates may apply.  To OPT OUT of msgs, please reply STOP."

You could have simply said "I got the same text as everyone else" which still would have told us absolutely nothing other than it is a standard text message sent out by the hospital.

SMS message "You may be eligible for a courtesy discount on your balance with Lakewood Ranch. Please call the Billing Department at 1-888-525-3121. Msg & Data Rates may apply. to OPT OUT of msgs, please reply STOP." I am actually pissed this is a scam because I could seriously use a discount on a hospital bill with them.
