888-555-0000

Someone called stating they were affiliated with a mortgage company we had recently had a mortgage with (Countrywide) and asked if they could offer a lower rate.  Our loan with Countrywide was paid off.

I just let it ring everytime the caller id shows an 800 , 866, or 888 number as they always hang up on me or are a machine or telemarketer

this dummy called me and also reported he was with countrywide and wanted to help me with my interest rate.  when i asked him to not call my personal cell number he called me an idiot and hung up like an coward.  what a chump, hiding behind an unlisted 888 number! dam cowards!

Some loon called my house at 12:30 AM from 888-555-000. This is freaking ridiculous! I wish I knew who it was so I could report them.

they always tell me they are from a state agency and when i don't fall for that they hang up on me - a guy with the last name mccallister

These folks call at all hours!  No way to trace who they are or call them back.  They hang up if we answer.  Really starting to get mad.

My boyfriend received a call from this number today asking for Brendan. Which is his middle name and only people really close to him cal him Brendan. He claimed to be his oldest grandson and when my boyfriend said that was biologically impossible (he’s only 3) the person just hung up. Super creepy.
