This was a call from Mayor Menino asking for his support. Sorry, my support is going elsewhere. No idea how they got my number.

received call today-- same as 'annoyed'above-- don't live anywhere NEAR Brockton!!  tried to call them back-- no ringing, nothing

im an getting calls multiple times a day to remind me to vote for him, today was the day and i got called three times since i got home from the polls. Ive asked adn threatened them to please not call anymore, but for months it was daily.

Have been receiving calls from this number a couple of times per day for a few weeks. No one is there when I answer. Seems like an automatic dialer gone crazy.  11/13/09 from New Bedford, MA.

Just got a call from 1-888-555-1308 ... it was for Mike Capuano for Senate.  If the politicians would spend as much time doing their jobs after the elections ... as they do bothering everyone before hand ... a lot more would get done!

No message, no caller ID. I did not answer, as usual. Don't they know most people screen their calls, or am I one of the few?

I've gotten a lot of calls from Capuano and Pagliuca for this Senate election. I've gotten no calls from Coakley or Khazei. Hmm? Does that have anything to do with the ethnic origin of my last name? Do these politicians really think I'm pig-headed enough to vote based on ancestry? Das nehm ich krumm.

Rep. Kulik stumping for Capuano.  Based on other notes here, I'd guess it's a Mass. Democratic Party number.

Is "555" even a valid exchange for toll-free area codes?  It isn't elsewhere.

I'd be extra ****ed off if they were using a bogus number as a  Caller ID.

Not ethnic-based, unless you count Western European.  However, may be because I am an "unenrolled" voter, i.e., not registered with any party.

Was automatically blocked due to being a toll free number.

I was called twice by this number on my cellphone. Once they left a message on voicemail but said nothing, just listened.

No message from this number(8885551308). Called about 3 times in one day! Not right.  If this call was from a political party, you can bet they'd get less vote from this resident of Fall River!!

Make that 4 times now!!! Gee! Desperate callers.

Called repeatedly for four minutes till I picked up. It was the Guy Glodis campaign. Unbelievable.

I've been getting phone calls from this number (888-555-1308), political parties, telling me to vote for them.  I need them to leave me alone and stop calling me.

Call was a recording from Michael Chinman, who's running for Norfolk County District Attorney.

Caller ID said "BLI" number said 888-555-1308. Also getting bombarded with automated calls & print literature for Guy Glodis campaign. Didn't have an opinion before, now I really won't vote for him.

I got this call and did not answer. It said it was an 800 service and there is a dead silence if you try calling it. Isn't 555 an informational number? I don't live anywhere near the area mentioned and I really wish that if they call and you have a machine they can leave a message which they have done in the past. I don't even know if it's a valid number.

This was a cheap-o robot call.  I say "cheap-o" because apparently they didn't have the technology to tell that they'd gotten a voicemail instead of a person, so it talked during the "we are not at home" recording.  Which meant that all I got was a very loud, harsh, robotic female voice giving me the last couple of letters of a URL.  As it did not record the first part of the URL, I obviously I cannot go there.

What's the freakin' point if it's just going to hang up when I answer. DUH!

They did leave a message saying this was a political poll call and they were sorry they missed me. It's probably the first of many!
