Calls my number stating that a complaint has been filed against me along with my SSN. They want me to call the offices of Michael Evans at 888-562-0506 with a case number and talk about ways to prevent this from going to district court. They called both my cell and home numbers. messages were identical (scripted). I did an extensive search online and found several people have received the same call over the period of 13 days, some people stated that they had the same case number as other posters complaints.

I just got a call as well from these people stating they have a complaint against me and to keep it from going to court I have to call the office of Michael Evans @ 888-562-0506. It feels like a scam to me honestly the Case #639038 is what they gave me to reference too.

Got the same calls over the course of a week. from Melissa Allen on behalf of the state... same story--call and talk to Michael Evans to avoid being filed in court. He called back, telling me this was regarding a payday loan from almost a decade ago. Melissa left another message saying someone would be coming out to issue a summons within 24 hours--only mentioned street addresses--but not the actual street.

I received a vague call for someone other than myself. I worked for a collection agency for 5 years and that is what this sounds like. Don't engage with companies still using tactics like this. It is highly against the law and is part of the reason why we have the CFPB. File a complaint with them and the FTC if you continue to be harassed. Left a message for the person to call 888-562-0506, Michael Evans.

Same message,  from #888-562-0506..very vague,  caller said it was a civil suit and I need to contact the office of Michael Evans regarding case# 638033...definitely a scam, I called and just got a recording wanting personal information and a specific address

Same here some lady called restricted and instructed me to call 888-562-0506 Michael Evans. and a case #, has anyone spoke to Michael Evans!! Looks like its a scam

Got a voicemail to call Michael Evans back case number 428387. I did call back and that had my social and date of birth . And when I asked to speak to Michael Evans she said he was in a  metting  and call back in 20 minutes

I just called them back and they told me the same exact thing.  Did you receive a call back?

Not right  away but they called back again today.

I recieved a call from this number and let it go to voicemail. The call was acrually for my sister, I passed along the information to her, and I called them and told them that I did not want any phone calls from them. My sister then lrt me knoe that she called, was placed on hold then someone picked up, said they were calling home again, placed her back on hold. Woman comes on the li ne again, gices my sister the last four of her social, her birthdate, and stated my sisters name. Asked if my sister would hold for a conference call.

Call from this number Case Ref. No. 281__9 . The call back no.888 562-0506 and forwarding to FTC.....As my brother answered and a attorney they picked wrong one this time, As we have high tec phone and recording system- locator to exact local, will give the information to authorities.

Same as everyone else. Got the call they were looking for my boyfriend. He called twice was put on hold for over 20 minutes both times. Finally a woman gets on says Michael Evans is away... we were both over it my that point. Charles the personal locator called us.

Same situation here they called yesterday demanding money or they were gonna take money out of my checks
