- Oscar| 1 replyThe calls from Sprint does not STOP. I have told the callers, in a polite manner to please stop calling me on my cell phone & hanging up. I have sent e-mails to Sprint's Office of Privacy, which promised that it will stop. I informed everyone that my number is listed in the national Do Not Call list. But it still doesn't Stop. HARRASSMENT? YES! Unfortunately I don't speak Spanish and that bothers them. Bad reputation for Sprint.
- Caller: Sprint

- golfphanI verified that it's Sprint/Nextel. Great gimmick to get us to call and update our contract, huh. Well, I decided to select an ring tone that ID's their call -- AND IGNORE IT!!! Sprint is ruining Nextel!
- Caller: Sprint/Nextel
- JesuzinhoSame here guyz! They keep calling and eating up my minutes. So, YES it is a person trying to get a hold of us to tell us to stick with the same company, why? because if you decide to do it, that person calling gets bonuses, YES. It is a shame, but in this country people are low ballers trying to make money any way. Best way to handle is when they do call just pick up the class and responde "LOUD" ... YES... WHO IS IT... Because these people use a computer system and simply dials and re-dials numbers, so that is why we get called every other week. NEXTEL OR SPRINT CANNOT DO ANYTHING. So the only way is to get them to respond when they call. I was able to by responding to the call as loud as I can saying YES,,,, WHO IS THIS.... YES?? and finally some male responded trying to offer an extension and bonus minutes. This is so stupid! They are idiots!
- Caller: Nextel Sprint
- soad001:57 pm... its the second time they called... this time i answered and they hung up... i googled the number at it led me to this... i'll only renew with them if they reduce my bill by at least 15%...
thx for ur posts
i have nothing to do with this... - Big TI have been getting a call from 888-580-1668 which I would answer and it would hang up. As of today I returned the phone call and they answered as Sprint/Nextel. I spoke with an individual called "Hulio" which he asked me for my name and what my pin # was so that he can access the account. I asked him for the reason for the phone call and he insisted that he need the pin #. However, I asked him that I needed to speak to a manager and he told me to hold. But while on hold I hear someone breathing on the phone (fake hold) and he comes back by saying I need the pin # so that the manager can explain the nature of this call. I hung up and called Nextel Business Relations and they tell me that the number is not affliated which Sprint nor Nextel. Also they should explain the nature of the call without asking for any pin # or secret question.
Please beware and don't give them any personal information or else you get scammed.- Caller: Definitely NOT Sprint/Nextel
- FUSTRATED CONSUMERWILL YOU STOP CALLING ALREADY. I KNOW WHO YOU ARE. AND NO I DON'T WANT A $150 FOR A NEW PHONE.

- BB42I'm in Texas. Hispanic male on the other end of this # wanting me to extend my contract with sprint. Wanted my account password. No legitimate company would ask for your account password. They even had my personal information. Beware.
- Caller: Allegedly Sprint, Likely A Scam
- THELMAI KEEP GETTING A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER, NOONE IS ON THE LINE WHEN I ANSWER THE CALL. I NEED THEM TO STOP CALLING ME, ESPECIALLY SINCE IT COSTS ME MINUTES.
- Caller: DO NOT KNOW
- Annoyed at sprintCalled by this number for two weeks. Each time they called they would hang-up and call back up to 5 times. I called sprint *2 and asked them to block the number and the rep said they can not but she will contact the marketing department and ask them to note the account. The marketing department called me back asking for which one of my lines this number was calling and said she will add my number to their system and the calls will stop but it may take up to a week for the stop to be implemented. She also offered a $5 credit per month for 24 months.
- Caller: Sprint
- Sprint CustomerIt is the Sprint "retention" department. A computer dials your number, which is why you get airspace sometimes when you answer -- the rep has not picked up the call fast enough after being alerted by the computer that it is a "live answer." They are calling under the guise of getting you to let them "review your plan or your phone equipment to see if you are being best served." In actuality they are hoping you will take them up on some "special offer" or upgrade your phone, so that you will renew/extend your contract with them. It looks good on their "books." A contract for service is considered an asset in the accounting world. They report these figures to the public and stockholders. The Sprint reps, when asked, claim to actually be Sprint employees, and not subcontractors, but in any case, when asked directly if they are from the "customer retention" or "loyalty" department they will admit that they are. You could save the number on your cell phone, programming it so that number will show up on your caller I.D. as "Sprint Retention" or "Sprint Sales" so at least you will know what it is next time.
- Caller: Sprint Customer Retention Dept
- Call type: Unwanted
- Sprint CustomerP.S. re above... When I asked the rep to note my account that "I never wanted to be called about renewing my contract, that if I wanted to make a change or renew I would call THEM," he said he could not do that there, but gave me an 888 number to call to accomplish that. It was the number for the Do Not Call Registry: 888-382-1222. Which makes me think that they are subcontractors or "freelancers" and not Sprint proper, since a company you do business with has a right to call your phone number even if you are on the DNC list, as I understand it.

- Johnnyi was called by these wierdos

- JoeHas been calling me every few days, very irritating. I don't answer. I figure it must not actually be Sprint or it would probably show up in the Caller ID as such. My money's on some scam wireless provider.
Either way, I don't know if it's possible to actually block these calls, but I just added it to my contacts list as "ScamArtists" and for the ringer for that number, I select "none". So it'll still show up if they call, but at least the phone itself won't ring.- Caller: Probably some scam
- private| 1 replyCalled on 04/26/2008 twice arround 8:00pm and left no voicemail or any message...
