Received a message regarding a Federal Tax issue with the #888-589-0955 to call back, I called back and was told there was a 29k - 941 tax lien filed by the IRS 2 weeks earlier.  Called the IRS directly and was told there was not a lien. DO NOT take their word for it -- call the IRS yourself.

they tried to tell me that I had a lien filed against me for $4,000.  Called the County Recorder.  No lien filed against me.  Also called my accountant.  He said a lien isn't just filed against you.  Several attempts are made via letters to resolve any debt you owe.  So, if they call and tell you that you have  a lien against you, hang up.  They are dishonest scammers.  DON'T BELIEVE THEM!

Got a call from Eric with Larson looking for my (deceased) Uncle regarding a tax matter!  I suspect these scammers are at least in part targetting folks who may actually have a tax problem.  How did they get this information??

Got a call from Eric today regarding a 941 tax matter through Dec of 08. Was asking for the owner of the company I work for, but he was out.. I'm thinking it was just a scam since I'm almost 100% sure we don't have any pending tax issues and we have no liens that I'm aware of. People are so shady! (esp, this Eric character!)

These guys called me, I think it's a hoax. Told me I have a tax lean of 20k since May. I asked her which tax id # it was being held under. Stated she didn't know, and I should call the County Recorder's Office. Accountants and IRS contact said there is no lein. They are full of it!

Got a call from them today, thank goodness I checked this website before I even returned their call. The message left claimed that I had issue with "Franchise Tax" but they would not leave any e-mails claiming "confidentiality." Scammers sux, if they call again I will report them to the authorities!!

This is a telemarketing finance company, Larson Financial, apparently seeking to persuade people that they have a tax problem Larson can help them solve.

Our receptionist received a call from Shane, whom she said introduced himself in a way that implied he was with the IRS.  I returned his call and asked if that was the case; he said she must have misunderstood, that he had asked to speak with someone who would handle negotiation with the IRS.

It's a scam, I know we don't have a tax lien but "Greg Johnson" insisted I give him the payroll information for our office---in his dreams! I just hung up...

I received a call and "Tony" claimed that my company owed $7,283.00 in withholding taxes and for $1,500.00 they would take care of it.  I told him I would check with the IRS.  They told me that I owed nothing.

A week later he called back and when I told him that I had call the IRS and given them his name and number and asked them to find out how Larson had gotten that info.  All of a sudden he realized that it must have been a different company that he was talking about.  I asked for his address and  I am filing a complaint with the AG.

Larson Financial is a company that has helped thousands of tax payers resolve their issues over the past five years.  It is unlikely that an owner of a business would not know of a delinquent tax issue.  It is perfectly fine to call the IRS yourself after hearing from us.  Tax liens are filed with the county and or state and are a matter of public record.  We are proud of the large number of companies that we have helped and have a Satisfaction Guarantee.  Any questions feel free to call me personally at 888-902-0778 or visit our web site at www.larson-financial.com.

@ Jack Larson: why is it that someone from your "company" called regarding a tax lien and when asked to provide me with the FEIN# they could not or even a SS# they could not.  All you are getting this from is what your company states as PUBLIC RECORD!  I have taken this up with our attorney and the proper authorities as this is a very disrespectful company and when asked several questions I get the answer from your company as " I don't have that information, but I can provide you with the IRS's number" REALLY come on now.
As a debt collector for the IRS you should have all the pertinent information before you make these calls.  It is now int he hands of the authorities.
Pretty funny how you have the BBB highest standards!  ABSOLUTELY a waste of MY TIME
Get your facts straight before you run into the wrong person and they shut you down!

Received a call from this company - Steve at extension 312 - divulged way to much information to the RECEPTIONIST who answered the phone.  Callled the company back personally to complain and ask to not be contacted further.  At least the person I spoke to was nice, but still, calls like they make only create unease for employess, especially unsolicited calls. I love the copied and pasted responses from the company.  I say they are a scam. Why should we have to waste our time calling to stop something we didn't ask for?
