I'm guessing it's phishing. I answered and they said I have malware on my windows 7 computer. I asked which one? They said my home. I said I access multiple computers... hmmm none of which run on 7 and he hungup.

I answered and did not say anything but hello over and over. The man on the other end of the phone ended up telling me "Hello, [***] You" and then "Hello, I [***] your mother". I found it to be quite amusing.  This is the first time one of these people cussed at me with a super thick accent. I thought I would share my amusing experience with everyone else!

A man with a very thick Indian(?) accent called regarding my computer.  It sounded like a scam so I said goodbye, hung up, and put the number on my phone's blacklist.

They've been calling me about 3-4 times per week.  I had a feeling that they are some scammers.  How should I get rid of them? Just answer and tell them not to call back?

received call and I whistled very loudly and the person told me to f off also; I  told person I would but don't know how and maybe he should do it to himself...mumbled something and he hung up !!!!

this number has called me at least 5 times today. if i answer, there's nothing. if i don't answer, my message indicator light goes on, but there is no message.

receivd another call frm this #; telling me my computer malware has a problem. told him problem is him and not to call because i am reporting them to the atty general ....he still started to tell me about my walmware i hung up

i am on the do not call list....... why are they getting away with this ? i have left the answering machine try to pick up and they wont leave a message... i have answerwd the phone and it disconnects. when i dial their number back i get a buzzie signal . i have gotten 8 calls today. i want it stopped.....so whaT IS THE DO NOT CALL LIST FOR:??"??????????????

rec'd @ least 5 calls in the past 1/2 hr. and  on DO NOT CALL LIST !

they called me as well and i got some guy with an indian accent who said he was in dallas, texas and asked for some girl who i don't know and then told me it was about her computer. these guys are idiots.

This is definitely a scam.  I answered the phone and began questioning the man with the heavy Indian accent and he did''t like it.  It was for E T Protection Services in Dallas Texas saying there were many complaints from my area of computer viruses being spread through emails.  Everybody needs to report this number.

received 7 calls from this number today, when we answered they refused to put us on their do not call list, actually said "I order you to your computer" it took until hubby talked about fishing and the weather and wouldn't let them get a word in for them to finally hang up and not call back.

I get numerous calls a day from this number and they never say anything when I answer. Just dead air...

Just recieved a call from this number claiming to be with ET Protection and wanting me to do some stuff on my computer to "protect it"  I basically could tell it was BS so I totally screwed with him and he was getting pissed.  It was funny.

Have called my home 8 damn times today, everytime I pick up it makes a *clicking* noise and disconnects. How can these people get away with this?!!!! This is harrassment!

I have received at 4 calls in past couples hours. When I answer they don't say a thing. I have even tried calling back and it doesn't even ring. This crap is annoying and I am on the do not call list. What a pain in the ass.

Thank goodness I found all of these comments. My mom asked me if I had been stealing music from websites, and then told me about the same Indian-accented man who complained about stolen songs on our computer. He was telling her to go on our computer, probably to guide her to get a virus on it. Thankfully she said goodbye and  hung up, but we've been getting calls all week. Hopefully this will stop. This is fraud, for he also said that he was registered with google or something.

I got a phone call from someone named "James" whose East Indian accent was so thick you could cut it with a knife. He said he was calling from Dallas, TX, representing a company called "ET Protections". He wanted me to get on my computer because I supposedly had malware and he wanted to "walk me throught" fixing it. I told him I was not interested. We are on the DO NOT CALL list, why are these people calling me?
