Call was a recorded message saying that they were Microsoft and that my pc was spreading viruses, and to call them back at this number. Sounded all very professional, scammers are getting better everyday, I must say. However I have not fired up a pc for months, and I guess with a recording I can't tell them what kind of low life garbage they are. If you call them back, then you give consent for them to keep calling. This lovely government we have really need to do so much more to protect Americans in this country from scammers. The do not call list is a complete joke, and proof of how we the people are being ripped off by our own government.

I had the same experience as the caller above with a recorded message I didn't respond. I don't believe Microsoft would make phone calls.

These people are helpful only to themselves. They are criminals based in India who trick people into believing they are Microsoft technicians so they can steal from them. And you know that.

Plodge, you are a twit. Do you expect burglars to honor laws against breaking and entering? Then why would you expect phone criminals to obey the Do Not Call list?

AT&T doesn't need to sell your phone number as your number is all over the place. Just Google yourself and see. Any time you list your phone number any where it can be captured and saved.

How did they know you had a problem? Did you call them or did they call you? If they called you, how did they know to do so?
