- MP| 1 replyThey leave a voicemail that they are from my county process server and then say they will make two attempts to serve me. I have no idea who they are or what they calling for they have called and left voice mails the last two days. They then give me the number 888-589-9470 to call back if any of the times or places need changed. I am not calling the number back because really I believe it is a scam to get info.
- TKI just got the same thing - totally a scam

- AnnoyedKeep calling. Total scam. Even called another number on my Verizon cell phone account. Claik i owe them money and i will be arrested if i dpnt pay. Called the county they claim to be from and they have no warrants or anything for me. Sheriffs officer advised me NEVER to call that number back as it is a scam.

- DDJust got a third voice mail, saying this is the final attempt and there will be a officer at my door and hopefully I'm there to sign and he didn't want to see me in jail for the Holidays. If I wasn't there they would say it was fleeing and it would be sent the district attorney. Really? They didn't even say what it was about.
- Caller: heck if I know
- JG| 1 replyReceived a call threatening jail, they have also been calling my relatives scaring them half to death. This is illegal something should be done.

- Jenny| 2 repliesGot a call while at work. Left a voicemail saying I was being sued by a law firm because of a past debt with a credit card. Must have gotten into my credit report somehow. Because that is accurate. Called back, talked to a man named Ray Jackson.
Asked if I wanted to go ahead and settle it out of court, and if I didnt pay AT THAT TIME, Id be summoned to court at work or at home the very next day. He kept calling, asking me to call him back. SCAM!!!!!- Caller: Unavailable (CB#888-589-9470)
- Jenny replies to Jenny| 1 replyAlso wanted to add, initial call was from a Jaclyn Hill. And they said they were at Dotson Law, with the address of 5670 Wilshire Blvd. Never gave city, but on west coast. Said if I didnt settle, along with the court summons, my fees would jump up to $3300 for an attorney.
- AnonymousAbsolutely a scam. Before this law firm they are claiming to be now, They were Pittman Law, then Sherman Legal, then Barrett Law (I think). They've been at this awhile. I fell for it back in October and paid them like $50 something before I found out it was a scam. It's now December, I have not gotten served or gone to jail.

- SLMy first encounter with the number 888-589-9470 was on 22 Dec 2016, the claim they were Dotson law firm, gave me a case number on my home voice mail, which was strange because we don't give that number to anyone. He then went on to say that a county in which I once lived in was going to send a Sheriff to come arrest me if I didn't pay $5000. Then he went on to say he would settle the account for $1500. I told him to send me a bill, he was like he could email me. He also told me I had until 7pm west coast time to make this happen. I told him that I am not paying him a dime and if he keeps calling my number I will have him arrested. I don't know how these people can just dig into peoples lives and try to disrupt it, but for anyone out there who is being scammed by these losers, PLEASE DO NOT PAY THEM. If you feel they have some credibility against you call your local sheriffs office and they will confirm its a scam.

- MDDThey called again and just said they have tried to serve at the address they had and I needed to call 888-589-9470. I am not calling or answering the phone if I don't know the number or it comes up as No Caller ID. I have not received anything in the mail or a bill so not going to answer the phone for sure. They can just keep leaving threatening voicemail.
- RMSCaller identified himself as Joseph Smith (common to say the least), calling from Process Service Dispatch in Stanislaus County, CA, phone number 888-387-7644. Received a blocked call on my cell phone first and then a few minutes later received the call at work. Mr. "Smith" Told me I was being sued and that I needed to contact Dotson Law at 888-589-9470 and gave me a case number. Told me if I called today then I would not be served papers to appear in court. Mr. "Smith" wished me "good luck" and disconnected the call. TOTAL SCAM!!!

- Not falling for itThey called today and left a message on a phone that is unlisted telling me that "an officer of the court" (no city or county mentioned) was coming to my address to serve a summons to appear in court, (again, unspecific court) and if I was not home I would need to call the issuing office and have the 888 number. I have been served once before because I am recovering my credit however my local Court does not have an 888 number it has a number in my area code. Still, I freaked out a bit until I checked up here and saw that many other people are having the same issues. I have had some bills but I've never had anyone call me to tell me a process server was coming it kind of defeats the point if that's legitimate. Plan to call them on a different line that I don't use ever so they will leave my regular phone number alone.

- Sandra replies to JGYa they keep calling me and threaten my family members and my job something needs to be done
- Tye| 1 replyI received a private call saying they were from Island County Process Server and lawyers at 888-589-9470 need talk to me about a debt I owe. They did give me a case number. Besides not having a credit card for over 15 years, I did fear an identity hack, but tossed those fears when I received calls from family members with threating voice mails about this so called debt. That is illegal, and debt collectors don't work this way. I have not received any bills in the mail, will not pay anyone over the phone without some kind of verification of $$$ owed. I feel it is a scam and this site put my mind at ease. Good luck people, do not give any information to these people
