Said I had an old WF account he was collecting on. I've had WF since 1990 so if I owed, don't you think they may have taken it out of my other account. BS. Threats. "See you in court!" blah blah blah. Don't waste as much time as i did on them. Hang up and get back to life.

These scumbags have been trying to reach my 75 year old gullible mother through myself and my sister.  They called me stating that they had to serve papers on her from the county in which she lives.  They then called my sister twice and left a message saying they had to reach her for "pressing legal matters".  They did not leave their company name any of the three calls, but they did leave their number.  So I called it and it was an answering machine from Allied Financial Solutions.  Next time they contact my sister, she is going to give them my mom's toll free number...  1-800-f**k-off.

Mike Wells called me claiming that I owed $$ on an old WF account. Said that I needed to settle the so called "debt" today. They actually called my job trying to get a hold of me, it was extremely fishy. The same story as everyone else's pretty much. Doesn't seem legit at all.

I had the same call.. checked with WF. Spent an hour there. The collections depth for WF says that they stopped selling outstanding debts in 2010 and bought them all back for any collectors who purchased it as a collection company.  No records shown at WF to ever show they had sold it out to a outside collections.  I am checking with my local sheriffs depth to see if they actual filled a summons on me. I have been dealing with WF for some time and never once have they said anything about a past debt. Wait and see what I find out tomorrow.

They called my parents and left a message with my sister telling her I needed to call this number 888-601-7892 because I was being served papers.  I called, and spent about 40 minutes on the phone with a guy named Anthony Moreno stating he was from some California branch of "allied solutions" and told me Wells Fargo was taking me to court for the amount of 3600 dollars and that I could resolve it by paying 700 dollars for an account I had in 2006. He said anything he could to try to scare me into paying the 700 dollars by the end of the week, supposedly had sent me a 45 day notice notifying me of the court summons (I received no such paperwork) he hung up on me when I put him on hold - when I called back, he got all defensive and accused me of hanging up on him.  He was rude. They also said they emailed me something I was supposed to electronically sign, but I never received that. Anthony called me again this morning and left a message. F*ck that guy.

Received a voicemail a week ago from someone named Juliet Miller about a legal matter. My parents and sister both received calls from her as well. I called 888 601 7892 and some guy answered asking, "How may I direct your call?" I gave him the file number that was left on my VM and was "directed" to the appropriate department. So, I waited on hold for a few mins and Tony Castro anwered. He said, by law, he has to verify he was speaking to the correct party involved. He knew my address and birth date. He referenced an old Wells Fargo account from 2009. I asked him what company he was from and if the phone number for the company was correct. He told me the company name was Allied Financial Solutions. I told him that when I Googled the number, that it came back with a number of debt scammer complaints and had no legitimate company tied to it. He said that people can say anything on the internet and that his company wouldn't still be in business if they weren't legitimate. He told me that he could send me a secured email to show that the debt was "real." I gave him a burner email address that I use and then told him I would contact him tomorrow. I received the email and it had a link to a rightsignature.com site with "information" on the validity of the debt and that I had to sign it. I was told I have until the end of the week to pay or they will proceed with the court case. I will call them tomorrow and try to squeeze more information out of them to post on here.

Robert Duke left a message with a case number at my job so I called them back at his "direct number" 714-451-4670.  He harassed saying I owed 4800 but if I paid them today I could pay 1600.  It was supposedly an old account from Wells Fargo.  Told me they've checked my other delinquent accounts (which I have none) and said I had several.  Were going to have me served at work.  Called them back after I visited Wells Fargo to make sure I owed them nothing.  Got very rude still threatening legal action if I didn't give them some money. asap. Called 888 number back and they answer "corporate office".  I asked what was the name of the company, they said they were an answering service and they needed the case number so they could connect me to the correct firm upstairs. I asked what were some of the firm names "upstairs", and she hung up on me.

I just got a call from Jason Franco with Allied Financial Solutions saying I was going to get served papers tomorrow for  a debt I owed WF back in 2008. I never owed WF anything and told the guy to go screw off. This is a scam if you ask me!! I also called WF to see what was going on, and the representative indicated I didn't owe them anything and wasn't sure who was calling me.

You would be correct - this is a scam. You are never warned in advance if you are being served because then you could hide from the process server. Your best bet is to block and ignore their calls but if you do speak to them again, demand they follow the law by MAILING you proof of this supposed debt. Refusal to do so will confirm it's a scam.

Its funny because as soon as my parents told me I went on here. Another detail is they had saud both calls were the same exact time both days.

Criminals masquerading as debt collectors attempt to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged (they use the bad check or hot check claim a lot) and go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished without actually being sued or going to court, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They will use the words “Mediator”, “Arbitrator”, or “Law Office” to make you believe that they are something other than a debt collector want-a-be and that they don’t have to follow Federal and State collection laws.  They do have to follow those laws, but they won’t.  They mention that they have received a Fax document, to create the sense of urgency.  They also tell you that if you fail to call them back you are "waiving your right to council", which is pretty much nothing but hogwash.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer).  Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them.  Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else.
