I was told this is Elite payment solutions phone number.  They are "SUPPOSE" to be collection agency. The name and number show on my bank statement but when I call the phone number it say " The person you are trying to reach is unavailable". And that' s every time I call. My story is a long one so I won't get into it.

I had gotten that as well. they are collecting from mariner group check  comments on number 855-543-4300. they are working together. after giving 2 payments I have found they  are a scam as well so I am changing my card info, that's why I only give my loadable info on these things then they cant get your checking account and withdrawal from it. I thought something was up when I asked for documentation and confirmation of payments to my email or in mail and have nbot received anything yet. so I am out some money lesson learned.

YOU TAKE OUT PAYDAY LOANS WITH THE INTENT TO DEFRAUD THE LENDING INSTITUTIONS .. THEN YOU DEFAULT AND GET MAD THAT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IS NOW IN CIRCULATION TO THE WORLD OF COLLECTIONS..AND YOU PUT YOURSELVES AS WELL AS YOUR RELATIVES INTO THESE SITUATIONS.... STOP BORROWING MONEY YOU CANT REPAY AND STOP CHARGING UP YOUR CREDIT CARDS AND THINKING [***] IS SWEET ...!!!!!

So I am assuming you are affilitated with one of these "jake the snake" operations- you call these people scum bags, however it is the make-shift "companies" that fool these people in financial hard, into believing that they will be prosecuted for their debit??? And then in return these "companies" are stealing money from these people! Who's the real scum bags here? Often times, people will in good faith, give their financial inforamtion to these fradulent companies, in an attempt to settle a debit- only to find out that the money they just paid, settled no debt at all, it was stolen! You see the money you pay does not go to the original debt, nor does it get credited or relfected on your credit report. Why is this you ask? well its simple, it is because of these vultureous fradulent "companies" out there. They buy your information from a 3rd party, and then call and harass you misleading you to think that you will be served, or prosecuted and your wages will be garnished. In fact according to the FTC- it is illegal for any credit collection agency to threaten such actions. Also, if you trully owed the debit to the collection agency, it is required by law that the inform you in writing- not harass you by telephone. Another little tid bit of information. These people working for these companies are nothing more than low lifes, who cannot make a living any other way- they have seen a golden opportunity to prey in the less fortunate, and they strategically plan out their attacks. Pay no mind to their rude comments, or their empty threats, IT IS ALL A SCAM! Call the local Attorney General's office after doing a number search to find out where these "companies" are home based. Call the Federal Trade Comission and file a fraud complaint, contact the BBB. The only way these fradulent operations will be stopped is if the complaints are filed and the operations are tracked and shut down! It is illegal, they try to find loop-holes. None the less its wrong, its theft, and it's deception.

Get yourself a consumer law attorney and go after them. If you cannot afford one, contact your local Legal Aid Society for assistance. They are breaking the law by not only taking money out of your checking account that is exempt from seizure, but also making illegal threats. Debts are civil and not criminal matters.

The first thing I would do is to contact your bank and put a stop payment on those withdrawals immediately.  Also file a dispute charge with the bank since you have a limited time to do so.  Next file a complaint with your State Attorney General's Office and the CFPB here:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Third, do as Alfalfa said and look for an attorney.  a lot of consumer lawyers will take the case on a contingency basis which means no money out of your pocket until the case is settled.  If you can't find one, then legal aid would be your next best bet.  Also be aware that many states have additional laws when the elderly are involved (I am assuming you are an old codger like me :-})

I thing you need to be careful if you are a professional on how you reply.  However, a reputable company would return a phone call once they have "taken" your money.  I have called the number the bank gave me repeatedly and have never once received a call back.

I have never had a pay day loan, my husband and I have lived comfortably, and have never had any reason to "defraud" anyone.  If I needed a loan, we would simply go to the bank.

Just be careful who you are slamming...and I have NEVER given any of my personal information out, such as my bank account or my debit card, so am not sure how this so-called company ever got my information.

My son was contacted by this so called attorney named Gina Morgan through Elite Payment Solutions #317-759-2609 threatening me with a bench warrant if I didn't pay them $655.50 by 6:45pm today through Money Gram or debit or credit card. Luckily when I got off the phone a friend told me they can't do that & to research it so I did & guess what... All a scam...these people had my son scared, had me going for a minute but thankfully I'm not as vulnerable as they'd hoped

Suggestion--report them to your REAL state attorney general's office..
I seriously doubt you spoke with a real lawyer.  That is a violation of the FDCPA by itself.  It is also a violation to make threats (arrest).
