I received a call from this same number - 888-660-3879. It was from CDL and Associates. It's a debt collector. They use fictitious names and threaten legal action if you do not pay the debt. All they are trying to do is scare you. I have asked for information regarding my debt and this so-called legal action and they refuse to send me anything in writing and they eventually just hang up on me. I have read other people's experience with this company; seems like they call from different 888 numbers. I have read that the tactics they use are illegal - pretending to be a fraud investigator, pretending to be an employee of the sheriff's office. I'm going to report them to my state's (GA) district attorney's office. These people need to stop. They even went as far as calling my husband's ex-wife....THEY are the criminals!!

This # calls every month saying a work order has been issued and additional charges have been filed, call legal services with this case number. This is the # the call came from 662-778-9228 and was told to call 888-660-3879.

This CDL and Associates has their reps  going around cold calling people and claiming to be part of law enforcement in your  County.  They threaten arrest and everything they can think of in order to get you to pay them money.  Report them and  give out as much information as you can.  CDL has a history on 800notes.   Nobody has been able, so far, to locate them.

In any event,  no legitimate process server notifies you in advance of anything.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.  If you can find them.

Just got a call from them too!! they even told me If I have children at home I should worry because a warrant was being issued under my name!
