THIS IS A SCAM MESSAGE!!!
THEY TEXTED ME PRETENDING IT'S MY BANK AND THEY CLOSED MY BANK ACCOUNT RIGHT AFTER I CAME BACK TO US FROM A TRIP.
THEN TOLD ME TO CALL THE TOLL-FREE # FOR MORE DETAILS.
WHEN I CALLED THEIR AUTO VOICE SOUNDS EXACTLY THE SAME AS MY BANK'S. SO FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS, THEN ASKED ME ALL MY PERSONAL INFO.
I FELT STRANGE, AND CALLED MY BANK, THEN THEY SAID IT'S A SCAM AND THEY NEVER CLOSED MY ACCOUNT.
SO I HAVE TO DEACTIVATE MY DEBIT CARD AS I ALREADY GAVE ALL THE INFO.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!

Yes, the same thing is happening to me, except luckily i didn't give them any information. THey were too insistent on the phone, and there was no alternative but to give your card number, which is not the way the bank does business.

The funny thing is that they have a "chase.com" suffix. Must be from the inside, somehow.

Not a phone call. Came as unsolicieted text messages, supposedly from Chase Manhattan telling me to call the number re a deactivated bank account.
I did call when the second text message arrived, but the voice was too insistent. There was no alternative but to give my card number, which is not the way the bank phone lines are set up.

Received a suspicious email from:  edwardsinc@ymail.com

This CRIMINAL SPAMMER wants to order large quantities of equipment.

The bogus email is supposedly from:

Charles Lumpkin
Purchasing Manager
Edwards Incorporated.

When I called 888-666-0819, an automated answering machine says to press 1 for "Charles Lumpkin."

Checked out "Edwards Incorporated" and found they do not exist.

Tried calling the 88 number today and got the message that it has been "temporarily disabled".
