the text read "we are sorry to inform you that we had to lock your califonia C.U access.to reactivate it call 888 666 9128"

I got this text, saying to call to reactivate some account I dont have.  I called, got a recording asking for my credit card number etc etc....BOGUS!

I don't know how this text got to my phone when my text messaging feature is supposively disabled. It came from 626@tmobile.net which is either tmobile allowing them to do this or they got hacked.

There is a problem with your Credit Union account. Call urgently at (888)666-9128.

Phishing scam! I've received two texts in the same format pretending to be other businesses, using different phone numbers

I got it too. Said there was a problem with my credit union account and call immediately. I checked with my bank and there is no problem. This is a scam. I didn't call the number because I heard you can get charged major bucks for calling strange numbers.

got 2 calls within 30 minutes.  i have no such accounts (Calif. Credit Union).  how do i put a stop to these unsolicited texts?!

What would I do without the internet & google search?!  Thanks for the info and quick responses about these scammers.

Second one - 562@tmomail.net// We found a problem in your California C>U> account. Call urgently at 1888-666-9128
(I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CALIFORNIA CU A/C) They ask you to enter your 16 digits credit card numbers when you call them.

two texts, same as above.

same 2 exact text like NC.
