Got a call from this number -- the same scam that they've been running via different 800 numbers. "American West calling to let you know you won a free cruise for the Catalina Express out of Long Beach." Via some "unknown entry" in a sweepstakes "entered in last year." Googled it and found a lot of scam reports from other 800 numbers. Don't fall for it! They'll probably take your money!

Just got a call from this number and same as pp, it was about a Catalina Island getaway that I "won" from a contest I entered last year. I never entered any sweepstakes last year up to this day. It's a scam!

American West called me that I won a trip to the Catalina Islands for two from a contest last year. I don't remember signing up for any trip for the Catalina's. Possibly a scam or timeshare advert.

same thing .. long call .. no human .. at end gives you address where a meeting will be held for all winners to come claim their prize .. might be worth the time to go but probably a time share vacation presentation .. definitely some sales crap .. supposedly a Catalina trip .. not conveneint to check it out now .. if anyone finds out anything positive about this // please post it here .. thanks and GBY!!

Yes they are still at it - thanks for positing just got a call this morning but they are adding a $100 gift card to restaurants in the So Cal area.

Just got a call from this incoming phone number and a voice message saying that I got free ride on Catalina Express for two as well as $100 gift card towards any restaurant in the area. What a scam!

Just got a call from them today. They said I won a trip two day trip to Catalina Island and an 100 dollar dinner and a two night stay at a hotel. The problem is I never entered a raffle soooooo.... this [***] has to be a scam.

You bet. You cannot win a contest you never entered. You cannot win a lottery you never bought a ticket on. Any request for a fee, for ANY reason, to claim a prize is a scam. Every time. The slightest mention of a cash wire transfer only confirms it.

Telemarketer saying I won a contest. I never enter a contest I don't know how they got my information.

Just received a call from this number.  This number also calls my home number.  I never enter any sort of contest or sweepstakes because 99.99% of the time it is a SCAM.

Blocked the caller. Yes was the cruise scam.

What exactly is the scam - nobody has said.   Is it a time share meeting...do they take your credit card # - does anyone know?
