yet another scam

The message said that there is a restaining order against me.  There is not.

I received the same message and it also gave me some sort of case number.

Caller was an automated system left a file number 101649 and a phone number said they were the civil suit department. this is a scam I have told them over and over everytime they call I have made a complaint with the police department and the state attorney general's office as well. they don't care they laugh and say oh what they going to do nothing. So I hang up and a few months go by and they do it again. I stopped taking the calls and they go to voicemail.

I just got a call today from this number. They were calling for a person that does not even live at my home number. I called the number they left and asked to remove my number. Men said I needed the case number in order to remove my phone number. How on earth do these idiots get phone numbers for prople not even living at a certain phone number?

I received the same phone call from a Ms. foster telling me that I owe 500.00 from a payday loan  and 4000 in legal fees and they can wave the legal fees if I make a arrangement to payoff the debt.  They also told me that JP Morgan will not open an account with me they would have me to leave the bank so I told them if this is true to send the information in writing to me and I can forwarded it to my attorney - they claim that they could not because they don't have anything in writing and they don't have to and the only thing they are going to issue is the subpone in court by the judge.

To all of you- 1.Restraining order is not there - a scare tactic. 2. They can do nothing with a bank unless you give them your account number.  3. If they do not MAIL information, it is a scam. I'll bet they won't even tell you who you owe money to ("It's sealed in an envelope and I can't legally open it").  You can probably expect "the police are coming" call too.  Don't waste your time with these people and do not give them any information!!  If you really did owe money, you would have a written notice from the source of the debt.

I received a call from a number designated 000-000-0000 and was left a message telling me there is an important legal action pending against me and that I should give him the case number 44573 to my lawyer so he must submit paperwork about my involuntary appearance.  I have had this scam before - These type of business or official business are not conducted via telephone - it would have been mailed requiring signature or certified mail to confirm my receipt. I get these calls approximately once a month and even if you answer the call there is no one there.  No Way am I calling these scammers.

Have had repeated phone calls from this company, I called them to tell them it is not my debt and to find out who they are.  They said for security reasons they cannot give me any information.  I asked what they are and they said they are a law firm hired by Chase Manhattan.  When I asked if the person was an attorney they said no.  I asked them to stop calling me, my renter, my neighbors for a debt I do not owe and they said they would continue to call as long as the debt was not paid.  I am tired of this and will probably disconnect my phone.  Oh yeah, they call on my caller ID as NAME WITHHELD< OUT OF AREA  and OOO-OOO-OOO.

I received this call from 1-000-000-0000 and did not answer. They left a message telling me that they were a civil investigations unit and that there was an action against me that involved a restraining order and that I or my attorney had 24-48 hours to respond. Claim and affidavit number 35178. First of all, they apparently didn't even have my name as this is a prepaid phone and never mentioned the complainant or myself by name. If this were an actual civil suit there has to be some sort of physical service of the complaint via subpoena. Is this crap even legal?

keep calling my phone and I want them to stop

For the second time in  a year , I got a call from this scam .Last year  I spoke with  a representative who claimed he was a non attorney calling for a law firm. I advised him that I was an attorney and that a Restraining Order had to be personally served etc. He refused to back off and when I told him the call was being recorded he hung up. This year it was a message on my office number.  Called back. Asked for the name of the firm  and advised I was an attorney and recording call and all I got was music after that . This a total scam. Ignore  or advise the idiot you are recording the call.

this # called my inlaws 1 888 673 4876 and the ather # 000 000 000 and said they are the federal inenstigatins unit and said the cops are goin to arrest me and it is it carving a lots of fights between the family. and they keep calling my house and my family and they need to stop all this stuff 4 real and they give me this # a case # 104816 so they need to stop

this # keeps calling 1 888 673 4876 and this # 000 000 000 and saying they are the federal investigation unit and causing alot of fight with my inlaws and family so it needs to stop now how do we do something about this
