We called Ferrellgas for a 250 pound/gallon tank. They brought a 100. We had dug the trench for the larger tanthe, but the driver insisted on leaving the smaller tank right next to our dwelling and where we were preparing to pour concrete. It took three of us to move that tank out of the way for the concrete company.  After many phone calls the larger tank was delivered,  but only partially filled.  Why, no one would give us a straight answer.  So when we got low and called, we were told a date the serviceman would be there to fill it. Needless to say that date came and went and no fill. Almost two weeks later, and many calls, we were finally filled. We paid our bills upon receipt. Then in March, I found a bill on my door for a fill. We did not need filled and had not requested a fill. Again we called to be told we had requested autofill. No we had not!! We moved shortly after that and told them to come get their tank. I have been getting calls for payment on the propane we did not ask for nor use. They have not gone to pick up the tank and said it could be another month. But the kicker was when the supervisor left a message insinuating we had used more fuel than we said. I took a video the day we moved showing 65% full, which was more than they delivered the last time. Ferrellgas has got to be the most incompetent bunch of people I have ever had to interact with.

Ferrell Gas.....ordered $200 in propane, instead they filled 1000 gal tank, then charged us for it.  Told us they wouldn't bother us regards payment though we'd have to pay.  Instead they call us every day including weekends.  Their mistake, but we are having to pay for it.  Seems they don't care if it is their mistake.

"Missed" a call from 888-700-7279 the other day. When called back, a robo-voice says "Thank you for calling your propane supplier. ... Please hold the line for the next available attendant." then crappy music, then it asks you to press "1" to leave a message or, if making a payment, call 866-606-3266.

Sounds like some kind of scam or evasive debt collector to me. *blocked

I received a call from this number.
The I’d that showed was “too I caller”. I’m not in the habit of answering, but sometimes I do just to let them know how fed up everybody is about it becoming so prevelant that people are actually profiting by harassing others and no real progress toward it being addressed.
Today, I answered and it was someone saying that were calling from Ferrellgss. No have an account, so I spoke as if I knew what they would be calling about, although the person on the other line didn’t know what I was referring to.
After all, today is Saturday, and the office is closed.  And when Ferrell gas actuall calls the us says Ferrellgas, they call during normal business hours, and it’s actually a complete different number.

So, I googled this number, and read the other reports.
    They date back to 2008.
What I don’t understand is what the point is in reporting a suspicious number, at the least, and what is evidently a scam, at worse,if the callers who are continuing on this scam are not given more serious attention to.
I am going up call the real Ferrellgas and let them know, however.  After that, I don’t know why a company would also allow a scam in the company name, unless of course a business is also faced with the frustration of nothing ever being done
Sure, we can block it, report it, ignore the call.  But that still puts it back in the individuals, and not even n the people scamming.  Yes, that’s emotion, but what does it matter.  Whether it’s diplomatically  reported or otherwise, obviously, it’s only proliferated or it would have gone on now for over a decade with the same number abs same general experiences of people who are reporting it.
There are people who answe these kind of calls and get scanned because of age or any number of disadvantages because they are unsuspecting.  This number, among many, is succeeding at scamming somebody still, otherwise, it works by continue to be happening!

I made a couple or more of “auto correct” errors.
In the first paragraph what’s in quotes should be “robo caller” instead of “too I caller” describing the caller I D that it showed.
The second paragraph and second sentence where it says “no have an account”, it should be “I have an account with Ferrellgas”
When I spoke with the person calling from this suspiciously timed number, I provided account information that only Ferrellgas or myself would know to be substantiated.  After a brief pause catching the caller off guard, she says she would notate the account.  It wasn’t in the account.  It was nothing that I gave any account information or personal information away.  It was something that impeded any further need for account information that could be used to carry out a scam.
Nonetheless, by providing a detail about the account that is not really substantiated, it’s not a matter of it being suspected of a scam, it is a scam.  Otherwise, the person calling claiming to be with Ferrellgas would have known different.
So, it’s beyond speculation now.  It should have been determined as a scam just by observing that it’s been reported since 2008.

What makes you think Ferrellgas - or any company for that matter - "allows" a scam in their name? How are they supposed to stop a scammer from giving whatever name they want when they call?

We've had 3 or 4 calls from this number asking us to please call "your propane supplier". Our propane supplier is Ferrellgas, and they have our number and have talked to us several times this year because the tank is hard to reach in February & March when it's muddy.

An idea for you that would probably cost a lot less then putting a concrete sidewalk in to it.  Get a bunch of 2 x 2 Condenser Pads from a local A/C distributor.  Get someone to put the pads on a bed of crushed stone.  They don't have to be touching each other you can maybe keep a foot between them.  Gives the guy something solid to walk on.
