This number seems to be associated with the number I've mentioned in another report at this site which is 600-754-3403 both of which are related to pop-ups claiming to be MicroSoft service technicians whom, according to the pop-up must be contacted since my computer is purportedly infected with a virus that will steal all my passwords, financial acct into and photos. These two numbers always come up with back-to-back warning pop-ups. This all started yesterday when I made the mistake of responding to a high-tech looking pop-up from PCAccelerate. Don't respond to their pop-up invasion.

If you use Windows, download Mozilla Firefox Internet browser.  Go to "Add-Ons" and search for "Adblock Plus" and install it.  You'll never get popups again.

It's not microsoft.  Read ASDF's post above yours and do it.  Now to get rid of the pop up, here's how for pc and apple

This was for me to call 18887084972 "Microsoft" A guy that 'cannot cut it' in the real world.

I was visiting a sight about ufo sightings. this pop-up, like yours above, chimes up. Never on wiki sights, government or other educational sights...only sights people easily jarred would try. I shut down my office programs, hit control, alt, and delete...all three simultaneously, and then restart. In the past I have called the number and indeed he wants credit-card for pay. The switch board answered by a mid-east or far east accent then a very preoccupied young man. I acted all nervous and ranted matching the switch operators accent "My computer, my computer I cannot operate it. then I disconnected with him. He called me immediately "so very concerned" and I wasted his time for another ten minutes to add to his telephone bill. extra bonus advice... Don't open links in your email even if you know the person

Pop-up ad tells you to call this number and talk to a Microsoft tech to assist you with removal of viruses or spyware. This is a Fake Spam, and they will charge you hundreds of dollars to fix your computer.
