They said I called to lower my rates on cable.   I've never called my cable company for that. Plus on looking up the number it said they were comcast.  I have charter.

Similar thing here, wants me to call back to discuss lowering my cable rate that I inquired about (which never happened).  I don't even have cable TV as is, they called under a different number, 2132778735, but wanted a call back at this 888 number.

Precisely as reported from other posters, the caller indicated that we had called about lowering our cable rates. We don't have cable. We didn't call. Obviously, this is an unsolicited sales ploy, albeit with very polite salespersons.  The call was from 213.277.8735 with a callback number of 888.720.7194, and even a reference number so that "they could easily access information about our issue.'

Same situation as the ones already reported.   The caller didn't give any company information, just call back number and reference info.

Same situation here . They called me left me a message with a reference number. At first I was under the impression that is my existing cable company. I made the mistake to give out some personal information, only when they asked for more I realized that something is wrong.

I received a call from this number today.  They wanted to discuss my gas charges.  The call back number was different and I was given a reference code.  I was also told to have my statement handy - I don't get statements from my gas provider.

Just receive the same call. They wanted to talk about gas supply charges. The call back number was (989) 204-8810. Internet find on this number said mobile Cingular phone from Crystal Mich (north and a little west of Lansing, Michigan).

Lol called about gas supply charges. Called back used faker than fake reference number and shockingly that faker than fake number was me too. Asked about the bill and soon as I said I didnt have it she said call back when I have it and hung up on me. lol

They called me today about a discrepancy about my gas bill wanting me to call them back and essentially feed them the information to further scam. I own my tank and buy in bulk.  Best solution, screen all calls.

Like some of these statements, they called telling me that they were calling in reference to my gas charges. That they gave me a reference number and told me to have my gas bill available for review when I return the call. I believe the number that they requested I return the call to was a 912 number. If they’re calling some regarding gas billing and others regarding cable we know that they’re just scamming.

Received vague message with reference # saying to call back with my statement handy. Message didn’t identify company, no company identified when I called the number back. I’m blocking this number in light of what I’ve read here.

It's the B.S. gas supply charges message. Block & Delete.

Left message about "gas supply" charges with a request to call back.  Caller identified herself as "Rebecca Johnson" but did not leave a company name. Very professional and polite sounding but still sounded like a scam.

Same thing as above.  Wanted to discuss supplier gas charges on my bill.  Never said the name of the company.  I had not previously inquired about this even though the caller said I had.

Same as the others.  Wanted my gas bill info.  I just deleted. Scam.

I called back and the woman identified herself as Victoria and gave me her operator number or whatever of 5685 and told me I was on a recorded line and when I asked her to repeat the number she would not do it. I then gave her my reference number, she wouldn’t answer any of my questions and then all the sudden they hung up on me. I am mediately called back and they wouldn’t even let my call go through. What the hell kind of scam is this?
