A person named Rose Walters called saying she was a rep for Chase handling hardship or passdue accounts.  When I called the first thing she asked for was my account number.  She did not ask for name and would not give me any information without giving social security number or account number.  Called Chase to verify if someone from their acccount services called.  Chase reported no one called and that my account is payed up to date. Can you please check into this number. thank you

Card Services keeps calling our law office phone number looking for one of our employees.  We have asked them repeatedly to stop calling and they retort that this is the only number that our employee has given them.  When we checked with the employee she had never heard of the company.

Card Services calls us daily at 8:00am and sometimes tries again 2-3 additional times in the course of the day.  We have called the number and asked to speak with a manager and twice told that one is not available.  When asked what their calls are in regard to, the caller states that it is in relation to a personal banking matter and that federal laws prevent them from saying anything further.

This morning, when they were notified that the employee they are trying to reach would never be available at 8:00am and again asked to stop calling, they agreed to stop calling for 10 days.  If our employee had not called them back by the end of that time frame, they would have to begin calling us again.

this is the number I was given by their hardship department to call back to, as I was setting up a "balance liquidation program" for an outstanding balance. i think it's legit, as I already dealt with them on getting one of my accounts on a payment plan.

    ditto
same situation here as with "chaseowner".

Due to being downsized from my employer, and trying to balance all my accounts (cards / mortgage, etc...) I signed on for a "balance liquidation program" (wherein the account is closed, and I pay off the balance via minimum payments over 5 years at 0% interest with zero penalties or fees).

That is one of the numbers that I was told to use when calling.

I've got too many calls recently from 407-771-0887. They all said they represent for Chase and asked me to pay for the past month dues.
I said that even the name and phone number are right but I'm not the person they look for. They mentioned about last 4 numbers of the account but not mine. Then they requested to provide them my DOB, SS#, and Mother maiden name. I refused and told them to stop calling because I don't this is a scam or not. They gave me the number to call back 888-729-1403.
Anyone experienced this issue and how did you resolve it?
    Thanks

Someone named called Teressa called my previous employer stating it was a personal card matter. I haven't been with that employer in YEARS furthermore, I never gave anyone that number. When asked what it was about, she kept stating I needed to give her my account number.Seemed strange.

The day after I received an insufficient fund info in my checking account to pay my credit card bill, "Travis from Chase" called to generously postpone my payment due date. He wanted to get my checking account #. As soon as I asked if why he did not have that info with him, he started to sound a little "off guard" and nervous. I got this phone # telling him that I would call them back later. I know it's a scam, but how did they get my phone number,  the last four digit of the credit card #, and the fact that I did not have enough money in my checking account???

sometimes scammers use a callback number or fake caller ID of a real bank.  But sometimes creditors change the numbers in their profiles to random phone numbers, like mine!

We have gotten several calls asking us to call back.  Each message says that it is urgent that we contact the number above to resolve a financial matter.  I called this number about five minutes ago only to have the person say Hello and not identify the name of the business.  I just hung up.

They kept on calling my home phone when I wasn't home, and I was finally given a message to call someone at "Chase" at this number.  When I called this number back, the person on the other line sounded hostile and answered the phone not with a "Hello?" or "Chase Services", etc., but by saying my ex-'s first name!  Apparently, they somehow had my ex's name -- not MY name -- linked to my home number.  You can tell it's a total scam, though, because they were absolutely unprofessional and refused to give any information as to what the matter was about.  SHADY.

My grandmother has been receiving multiple calls per day looking for my father (he lives out of country).  They keep giving different numbers for my father to call them. I called chase using the customer service line on their official website and when I gave the rep on the phone the numbers she verified that NEITHER of the numbers belong to Chase Card Company in any way...THIS IS A SCAM
    Here are the numbers:

Definitely a SCAM!!!! I already settled my account with Chase a couple of months ago so there would be no reason for them to call me. They left a message on my phone and didn't even get my name right. I called them back and they asked for my 16-digit credit card number and my SS# -- I said they should already have that information since they called ME. I told him to MAIL any info he wanted to give me. Of course he stuttered and tried to get more info out of me, and I finally told him to F____ OFF -- sounded like he was from another country.

DON'T BOTHER CALLING THIS NUMBER BACK --- IT'S A SCAM FOR SURE!!!

this is a SCAM!!!!!  These people are sooo annoying and they won't stop calling!!!!  They call from 407-771-0887 (an Orlando, Florida land line) and then when you say that either you or the strange name that they ask for is not available, they leave you 1 888-729-1403.

Don't fall for any of this.  I read a couple of statements that are positive on this site about the number, and no doubt it is someone involved with this scam.  I am calling my local police at this point to see if this is a scam centered in my area and I am also calling the fraud division of Chase AGAIN.

Just as a side note, Chase needs to do something about this.

Someone named Christina called me at work and said that she was from Chase card services.  She knew my home address, what bank I use, and how much my monthly pymts are on my Chase card.  I did not give her any information, instead I got a phone number to call her back.  I called Chase card services, and they said it was not them that called me.  This is a scam.  I reported it to the Department of Finance.

I received a call saying from Chase visa. She told me my epay was returned by my bank because my account was closed. But she later found my new account number and asked how much I want to pay. I said to her (name: Rosario) I will do it on line by myself. She kept asking me, if I want pay the minimum payment or full amount. I told her I'll decide when I get on line. Then I ask her number and name. (My first mistake, maybe not)
Then I got on line and looked up my Chase visa account and I paid the last balance. I saw almost $2000 chage for this month, so I tried to look up the account activity in detail and it came up with the same amount $197 that I just made the payment. And say 'No other activity.'
So I called the number 1-888-729-1403. (My second mistake) A lady named Nancy answered the phone. She asked me all the security questions. I gave them all. (My third mistake) Then I was asked what she can help me. After I told her my problem, she said she is to transfer another line for some one to help me because she does not know "on line" task. Fortunately (or they did not want to get into it) I was told it needed 10 more min. to help me and asking me if I want to wait or call the number (877-999-3872) later. So I thanked her and hang up the phone.
I thought I better check this number out then I found your site. It's better to call Chase direct.

I've contacted chase directly over the internet through their email services and the 1-888-729-1402 is one of the numbers they provided me to resolve my financial issues. The phone number is more likely a collection agency that handles delinquent accounts on behalf of chase, therefore chase representatives may not be familiar with that phone number or aware that the collection agency has been calling you repeatedly.
So I do believe it is a legitimate company though their tactics in getting money from people may be questionable.

My advise is to go to your account online and email chase directly so you have some verifiable record and evidence of your communications with them.
