This is "United Recovery Systems, Inc." in Houston, TX.
They are a legitimate collection agency.
When they call, Caller ID can show various numbers, including 888-733-1271, 888-733-1266, and 866-815-3211, and probably many more numbers.

They've been looking for somebody who I do not know. They got my phone number erroneously.

Called 8:06 CST, 4 Dec 07. Left no message. (I screen all calls with an answering machine.)

I did not answer this call knowing it was no one I knew

MY MOST FAVORITE COLLECTION COMPANY TO HAVE CALLING ME. IT HAS GOT SO BAD I JUST DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE ANYMORE. THAT REALLY, REALLY PISSES THEM OFF. This caller will call UNTILL THEY speak to the person they are calling for, Only if the phone is picked up. If the phone is not picked up on, they will call numerous times (8-10 times estimated) all day from 8am through 9pm everyday, EVEN WEEKENDS, And if they hit a message machine and or voice, they do not leave a message. THEY ARE NOW CONTACTING MY PERSONAL REFERENCES FROM ORIGINAL CREDIT APPLICATION, AND IN A SNEEKY WAY, TRYING TO IMPOSE A FALSE BELIEF THAT ITS EXTREAMELY IMPORTANT TO REACH ME.They HAVE harrassED my family and relitives AND FRIENDS. They have stated that they will call until I pay my account up-to-date.  They have also stated that they will CONTACT MY work place to collect on this debt. AND TO THIS DATE, THEY STATED, THAT THEY HAVE SENT ME A BILLING STATEMENT EVEN THOUGH I HAVE NOT RECEIVED SUCH A BILLING NOTIFICATION FROM THEIR COMPANY IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. HERE IS A LIST OF PHONE NUMBERS THAT HAVE BEEN USED TO TRY TO MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME BEING REGISTED ON MY CALLER ID AND MY FRENDS AND MY RELETIVES CALLER ID.

You can send a Cease and Desist letter to the address you have listed telling them to stop calling all of the numbers you mentioned. ESPECIALLY your work. They have to stop calling by law.

Make a copy of that letter for yourself - and make a copy of the envelope. Pay at the post office and get a receipt - keep it all together so you can sue their #$@es off if they do not comply.

Or better yet pay the bill, then they will stop calling.  You can pick up the phone and say, "please send me the bill and I will pay it since I know I owe the money"

from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm 7 days a week  for the last 4 months so i come with a nice idea every time they call my soft(windows base Voip) phone void the ring from all this asho@#@@s ha ha  ha ha

they call me all the time too. I even talked to them once. I don't owe any money. I told them I was not the person they were looking for it was a wrong number......I guess they don't believe me. they call back with regularity. BO

They call my number but there is only silence in the background.  I don't have time for the nonsense.

I called back the number and got a recording that said  it was United Recovery Systems. I do not have an American Express card, and this one of the many reasons why I never will!

This call is for a family member, but my number is the only one they can contact.  I've spoken with them on several occasions that the individual they should contact doesn't live here.
