Threatened to arrest me. Then called family members saying they were going to arrest me. This is illegal. And it's for a debt that was paid. So clearly they have old info that they got from somewhere. Definitely a scam tactic to scare you into paying them $ they aren't owed. Don't fall for it. Report them.

Got a call from a older lady by the name of "Ann Shultz" , Claims i owe thousands of dollars for a 2004 account, apparently she does not know how to count , since this has been out of statue of limitations for many years now.  she went on and on about how she is trying to help me stay out of jail. she has not one clue about FDCPA , i forward the information to the Attorney generals office https://www.justice.gov/ag .. imp waiting on another call to see what else she says about her "legit" office she claims to be running.. poor thing was breathing very  hard , so she either ran a mile or she's just a fatass sitting at a fake desk!!! DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY !!!! FILE A COMPLAINT !!!!!!!!!!!

Harassing calls to family members for debt paid years ago

Debt collector posing as a lawyer. Harassed myself and another family member the same day.

well this place keeps calling my son looking for me. he is getting quite upset with this. Ladys name was Pam from Smith Warner and associates. gave him a reference number. calling them now left vm saying that they need to stop calling my son and that I have no debt. if they dont stop calling I will be contacting the sheriff

Your son needs to block the calls.  For a land line a call blocker is an electronic box you can buy on line or at Best Buy.  For a smart phone you can download a call blocker or your phone may have one pre-installed.  For a simple cell phone ask your provider.  Or you can put the number in your contacts list and give them the ring tone "no ring".  That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.

They called my mothers phone and told her they were filing an action against me. Once I told them I checked out the complaints filed against them, they hung up on me. This is a scam.

she says that her name is pamela? she talked so fast. she says that there is files against me to the county?? she harrased me and threatened that they will contact my employer payroll? and she gave me a claim nbr. i dont owe no money?? and behind some bills thats all.

I received the exact same message. I called her back she said I was going to be sued for a breach of contract.I could hardly get a word in because she was talking so fast and throwing out legal terms as to get you scared or something. It's an old debt from years and years ago. They want immediate payment. Coincidently the "attorney" called on the other line while I was on the phone with her. She stated that I haven't responded to their mail correspondence that was sent. She said that the delivery was confirmed yet she stumbled over the date when asked for the delivery date and time. I'm calling post office to verify as well as calling the original debtor. My opinion is SCAM!!!!

Harrasing my family member. People should be arrested and pay the consequences for disrupting innocent people s lives.  Nothing but scam artist..
