This guy, Carl Davis, called from Brookstone United Capital claiming there's a complaint against me and I have 24 hours to respond or they'll have the sheriff come to my home or job. Anyone else encounter this company?

Call for a Paige Fellt in regards to a litigation being filed.  I have no knowledge of this person or have any reason for them to be filing anything legal against me

I just received a phone call from this number at my house phone and both cell phones. They are stated their is a complaint against me. I don't know who this is

received phone call threatening litigation, with no reference to the name of the business, I did  call the number back and the number back and was told it was an unpaid balance with Fingerhut,  on an account opened in 2007  I did not have an account in 2007.

I received the same phone call!! They said it was a collection from Fingerhut yet fingethut knew nothing about it

This is the 3rd time they have called - each time with a different call back number and different company name - saying there is a civil claim against me and to call by the end of the week... Each time they give a different call back number and I go to these forums and see the same scam from these people.  DO NOT CALL BACK or if you have a friend who is a lawyer have them call

Just got from call this number saying there is  civil complaint against me. The person name is brain Rodriguez  .brookstone united capital.

2)  They commonly hide behind UPS Store mail drops.
3)  Pretend to be some "process server", often calling relatives or employers first, to create the appearance of some "lawsuit".
4)  Usually just talk-- all serious and legal.   A lot of threats to do this or that if you don’t call them immediately.

This scam group started calling me 7/20/15 - on my cell and work #:  It was from a Mrs. Walsh.  She said she has a legal file that has been transferred to her regarding pending litigation.  She wanted to give me a courtesy call before she makes her decision and files the papers.  Return phone number to call was 866-614-7663 x112

They called again 9/1/15 - They called from another # 619-503-4536 per my called ID, but the number in the message I need to call is 855-312-5601.  They left a message on work #.  I swear it is the same woman’s voice, but now her name is Alexandria Pease calling from Brookstone United.   She said my lawyer or I must call by the end of the day yesterday before she files a Civil Complaint.  Brookstone United and 855-312-5601 do not pull up any Google results when combined in a search.   The only thing I can find on Brookstone United that is similar is Brookstone United Capital, but different number: http://www.brookstoneunitedcapital.com/home.html

They called again on 10/13/15 - using the same "File number" to reference my case - Now they called from “First Division Service” a man named Tony.   The called ID showed an "unknown" number.  New # to call back is 888-762-6057.  Now, the issue is a "complaint filing" against me and I have until the end of the week to respond or the will move forward with or without my consent.

What does one do to stop this?  Obviously, it is a scam - they have used 3 different company names and 3 different call back numbers that are not verifiable.  Company names and phone numbers combined are not verifiable.  The only reason I know it is the same scammers is they reference the same "file number" each time - one time it was the same, but added the first three letters of my last name to the file number.

Same as above.   Said I was a reference for someone I've never heard of.  They want to drop off legal papers for this person.  Nope.

got a call from this number was shown unknown but the person had said they got a complaint on my name and said that i had to call between  the time of 9 to 4pm  my time or my attorney the complaint was not said or a complaint number or if i dont call with in that time they will file it against my name. the number was given was 888-762-6057 no other name was given it was a female voice i was going to get a attorney to have them call the number or a legal aid person . What shall i do call them back to find out what it is or jus ignore the call I know i had been SCAM BEFORE and dont want to be Scam again,

I literally just got the exact same message.  And they also started calling me in July.  Thing is, I had just bought a house so I had all my credit checked and double checked.  Had there been this open, unpaid bill as they claimed, I would not have been able to buy my house.

OK this is the call back number that Don Lee told me to call back today regarding a case against me. He says someone is coming to my job and stated my job address. He also called my husband and my mom with the same info. Is this really a scam. He did give me a case number but no company name

They called my cell phone and my brothers phone today saying if I don't pay them 2570.00 by tomorrow or there settlement amount that they will take my income taxes or have my wages garnished for an unpaid credit card debt from 2008 I also was called by Alexandria peace! They said they were from brook stone United managment the only place I can find similar is brooks tone United capital

hey bro i  had a call from this female person on the 10/19/2015 and the person had just said my name and  so forth but never mention of any company she said that i had to call with in the time period of the area i am from or have an attorney call that they was going to file a civil case against me but nothing was said what tyoe of case, i had never called them back since now   thats when i did to check where this numebr was coming from i had been scam before, so the caller was calling from an UNKNOWN NUMBER,

Exactly the same deal, from a Stephanie Adam and at the end she said Good Luck - the people that do this sort of thing shouldn't even be able to sleep at night.  I reported them to the FTC.
