I received an email telling me to call 888-766-2484 to unlock my credit card.

Did not answer.  No voice mail.

I have no debt and only one credit card.  This company called and said they were a debt relief service. and said they had gotten my info from a credit card company.  When I called my credit card company, they said that they had not given my name, nor would they.  These people might be trying to get your credit card number.

If I don't know the number, I don't pick up. No message left.

This number is a legitimate business phone number from Citi Bank for those who hold the Citi Bank AAdvantage Credit card...  It is not a scam or an attempt to sell you anything...

They are mailing out fraudulent emails claiming they are Citibank and your payment could not be processed. THIS IS NOT CITIBANK! The emails are totally legit in appearance . They even had the last four of my Credit Card and an actual amount I'd charged. But the toll free numbers were totally wrong for Citibank. The email address they are using is citicards@info6.citi.com

I doubt, I never had a credit card they say I had, sounds to me like a scam

They said they were pg&e and my service was going to be shut off if i did not pay my bill with in 30 mins.

The number is that which is printed on the back of the AAdvantage World Elite Citi.com Mastercard credit card.  It's legitimate.  I would venture to say that scammers are spoofing that number to fool and harass the public.  It's what scammers do.  My recommendation is (1) Block the number of you're not a Citi Bank customer   (2) Otherwise, verify the number against the number on the back of your Citi Bank Mastercard credit card, report the scammer to FCC (for all the good it will do).

Veronica James stated she works for Citibank with debt relief plans  but it isn't a Citibank number.
I asked her to call me back in 45 minutes, as I had to take care of children.  So far she has called me 32 times before the time I said I would be available.
