A person from this number called my parents house where I haven't lived in 15 years telling them that they needed to get in touch with me to serve me with court papers on a case that that I have been dodging. My sister called me all nervous asking if I was in any trouble and told me that I was being sued. They told my sister that I needed to call them back today to avoid further legal action. Gave them a case number and this number to call them back at. I called the number and a person named "Justin" answered saying they wer BOR

I got the same call every day for the past week. It's a scam. They ask for u to pay for a retainer fee to keep it from going to court. Then when u ask for their info they don't tell u anything & hang up.

they called again today & told my sister her name was Anna Frost and they were a law firm by the name of BOR. This "anna frost" told my sister that I needed to appear in court and they have papers to serve me and the address they have for me isn't a good address. They have my poor sister freaking out. My mom is going to handle it the next time....lol. They will be sorry when they speak with her.

These people are calling my house for my daughter. I think they find people that have had trouble in the past and prey on them. They were calling her at work until she told them she works for the government and they stopped. Now they are harassing me.

Report the calls to the FTC, the FBI, the Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.  Tell the callers that you're recording all calls they make to you on the advice of your attorney (even if you don't have one) for multiple violations of the FDCPA.  

If you really were going to be served court papers, you wouldn't receive a phone call asking for your address.  Plus, no one gets a call that they'll be served - the court process server just shows up (or in some cases, you'd receive the summons via certified or registered mail).  

Bottom line, anyone who refuses to MAIL you proof that you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt, is owed nothing, per the FDCPA.

See my response above - report the callers to the FTC, the FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.  It is illegal for callers to harass anyone about an alleged debt.  It is also illegal to keep calling someone who is NOT the alleged debtor - you could file your own lawsuit against them for violation of the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act), as well as the FDCPA.

My called me this morning very upset telling that some law official just called her about some legal case against me trying get my address. Then I got the same type of phone call right after she called me and I let it go to voice mail and it was the same thing she told me about except it was two different people.  We both did a reverse phone number and found that this is a scam.
