- TomI own a collection agency in NH. They tried to collect exactly 3k from a debtor we settled the (under 1k) bal with at 50% and assisted the debtor in another case. They can't legally collect on this debt and they are. I called them and asked for management and they put me through to a very rude collector that I finally ended up hanging up on him. I will report this company to the states AG with proof that they're collecting on a debt they can't legally collect on.

- Tom| 2 repliesAlso, its an FDCPA violation to call and say on a vm that they're serving papers. I got stone cold proof of it and will be using all of my agency's resources to take down this company probably with a massive AG fine. As someone else said, process servers don't call. They just serve papers, not talk to you over the phone. This company give collection agencies like mine a bad name. I'll post they're post the details that they don't want you do know soon. :)

- umm what???So I got a call from this company. They said I'm responsible for a debt that I don't think I owe. I spoke with one representative who must have been in over her head because she hung up on me when I began challenging the details. I then consulted with friends in the know about how to proceed. I was advised to call back and ask very specific questions, and get names, addressess, etc. of people I was dealing with. As soon as I attempted to do this, I, I repeat I, as the supposed debtee was told not to call again, or I would be sued for harassment. On one hand, this makes me think that this organization is just a scam. On the other other, I think maybe they just suck at what they do. (they threatened to summon me to court. But in the same day, violated several fair debt collection act policies...such as discussing this alleged debt with a friend of a friend). I don't owe the debt, and am kind of eager to see how they proceed from here. If its a legit company, I might even MAKE money off this deal!

- mk replies to Tom| 1 replyTom,
That would be great. I just got a vm from the company saying that they were going to serve papers for a debt that I DO NOT OWE. On the same day, the spoke with a friend of my mother's in detail about this (alleged) debt. When I called and spoke with 2 different representatives, they tried to bully me, but when I requested simple information (such as names of representatives and a mailing address), they became angry, and told me not to call again or I would be sued for harassment. I cannot imagine that this company could be legitimate, but if it is, I'd like to hit 'em where it counts. - angryMy parents received a call from this number asking for me saying they showed up at my parents old house and a neighbor gave them the new phone number. That's bs right there because none of the neighbors have the new phone number which is a completly different phone number then their previous number. I've tried to reach someone at this number several times and have not gotten answer on any of my calls and am not leaving a message. If the want me they can come and find me. It sounds so fishy to me. Im worried as though I may go to jail or be in serious trouble if I do not contact these people if they are serious about whatever it is that they want from me.

- Dirty JoeFull Spectrum is a BS company in a 900 sq ft Office space located in CA. Same office space as you would see a subway and a ups store next to each other. If this was some real big company who wanted to sue you. Wouldn't you think that they would have a nice office next to a court house or an actual legal office. Really what do you expect to do. Sue someone then get a sub. Thier Office is located here ----------> http://www.trulia.com/property/1080577407-966 ... amonga-CA-91730. See for yourself. Lets not forget to mention that there Business isn't even legal in san bernardino county. Look it up here ----> http://acrparis.sbcounty.gov/fbn/index.html. Search FULL SPECTRUM LITIGATION CO. See what you come up with. Now for the REAL SHOCKER... If your debt is within your states STATUE OF LIMITATIONS they can sue you. If they were legal to do business in state that you live in. Explained in a nut shell. This varies state to state. Look up your Fair Debt Collection Satute of Limitations on your states website. It will tell you the crediter has anywhere between 4 to 5 years some states 6 to collect on a debt. The time starts when you made your last payment on that debt. If your debt, lets say is 7 to 10 years old there's nothing they can do to you. From the sound of it it seems the majority of us have this type of debt. If it falls in the states statue then they have every right to collect that debt. Even if it means small claims court. Now reading what everyone has posted on here it seems that everyone's debt doesn't fall into the statue of limitations if this is the case these dumb-A$$'s have bought up old A$$ debt in hopes to collect. This is what I have to say about that " They where dumb enough to give is credit, and your dumb enough to buy it", " Have fun trying to collect it" ... Really don't you think after 5 years of not recieveing money for these debt's people would steer clear from them. "" IF YOU ONLY HAD A BRAIN ""

- advice| 6 repliesIF YOU THINK THAT WE ARE A SCAM ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL THE ORIGINAL BANK AND THEY WILL VERIFY THAT IT WAS SOLD AND WE NOW OWN THE ACCOUNT AND WE ARE LEGALLY ABLE TO SUE ANY ACCOUNT WE WANT IF WE FEEL ITS WORTH IT AND IN STATUE. EVERYONE THAT SAYS SCAM IS JUST TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER WAY TO GET OUT OF NOT PAYING THERE BILLS AND THOSE PEOPLE DESERVE TO GET SUED! good luck SHILLS
- oh really now replies to advice#1. Why are you yelling?
#2. You should look up the definition of the word "shill"
#3. Why would people do all YOUR legwork to prove a debt is valid? Isn't that the responsibility of the entity who thinks they own the debt?
#4. IF your agency were a legitimate organization, it would be likely that you would be a.) Willing to provide the address from which you do business in order that people my conduct business with you by mail (as is a standard business protocol) and b.) not become verbally aggeressive and threatening when asked basic, fair, clarifying questions regarding the attempt to collect a debt.
#5. I would imagine that any legitimate organization would know much better than to violate basic principles of fair debt collections practices. Or at least not violate them so blatently that there is cut and dry evidence of such violation. (In my case, having a conversation with an aquaintence of my family member, who left me a voicemail detailing the specifics of the conversation before I had any contact with your agency.)
So, yes, you are entitled to file a lawsuit, just like any other American citizen or organization. But please know that I, for one would welcome that opportunity, as I am quite certain that I do not owe any debt, but am eager to capitalize on your silly mistakes. - respond to "oh really now"| 4 replies#1. IF you spent as much time on the message boards as you could working a normal job you wouldn't be receiving calls about your bills you don't pay.
#2. Its funny how %50 of you guys deny owing the bill but when your credit report is pulled almost every single account on there is delinquent.
3#. What a joke.
4#. Get your priority's straight. - Anon replies to respond to "oh really now"You realize you have just opened up your company to a class-action harassment and illegal practices law suit?
I imagine you will soon. - Don't stop yet... replies to respond to "oh really now"| 1 replyNow, let me make sure I have this correct....You assert that you're a law firm, but take no issue with violating several aspects of the FDCPA. So, with all that legal training, did you just forget, or are you completely unaware that these violations generally invalidate any of your debt collection efforts?
Also, for someone that claims to be employed by and representing a legitimate legal practice, nonsensical terms like "get a life" really put a damper on an attorney's credibility. My 8 year old neighbor often tells the babysitter to "get a life". If I may discuss one more point regarding your lack of professionalism: words (such as "priority"), when plural, often have special endings, which never include an apostrophe. For future reference, might I suggest that YOU make spelling one of your PRIORITIES. That aforementioned 8 year old is learning that in his spelling class as I type. I think he has an extra textbook, if you're interested. - 4444| 1 replyI received a call from this number yesterday. They left a voice message saying that I was going to be served papers to go to court. They also called my parent's home and told them the same thing. I did call the number back and spoke to a John Stover. He informed me that they were collecting on an old debt. This debt is now time-barred..the statute of limitations has been expired for quite sometime. When I made him aware of the fact that the statute of limitations was expired, he gave me a false date when my statute of limitations began. Also, he had an old address of mine and I informed him I did not live there anymore, nor did I receive mail there. He didn't even ask for my current address! So, with the false date of the start of my statute of limitations, the lack of needing my current address, and the so-called "heads up" I'm about to be served....I'm a bit wary of this company.
I suggest if anyone has contact with them, before you go any further with communication, get their mailing address so that you can request, in writing, the validation of the debt. If this company is legit and taking legal action to collect on any debt, time-barred or not, they should have no problem providing their contact information or validating the debt.- Caller: Full Spectrum Litigation Co

- Dirty Joe| 1 replyKeep in mind that everyone here that has a debt and didn't pay it! There might just be a reasonable explination as to why they didn't pay it. Maybe the were broke at the time! Maybe they got over their head. Or maybe just maybe our government wanted to boost our economay and decided to give everyone credit cards with $Thousand dollar + limits, and it back-fired in there faces. <------------- This is my guess. Lesson learned, they wouln't be doing that anytime soon anymore. As far as the debt. After the statue of limitations runs out, thoose compaines that debt is owed to; is written off on thier taxes with is deducted on their e-file. Thus getting thier money back from the grovernment or better yet (tax payers). So if you really tink about it. They sold you debt that has already been collected on. Maybe next time you'll keep that in mind when you think your gonna get rich sceem sounds to good to be true.
