- Kathi| 2 repliesReceived a call from this number. Did some digging and found that this number is used by some travel company offering vacation packages.
Here is a quote from a classified on craigslist.
"Incredible vacation packages most major destinations at an unbelieveable up to 80% off. Must be pre-qualified and flexible with dates, this is a presale only!! Please call 1-888-800-4352 ext. 6274 for details. Major resorts not third rate!! Hurry supplies are limited and cannot guarantee availability!!"
Did anyone else get a call from them? - April| 1 replyYes, I got a call from that number too saying that they were from Marriott and that I had won an 80% discount on some major Marriott resort hotel stays. Does anyone know if this is legit?
- Caller: Marriott?
- David replies to Kathii also got a call from the same number and I did some snooping around by calling Marriot and this could be legitimate. However, the folks at Marriot said that this is possibly related to there time share deals and to cal 800-533-5279 (Marriot Vacation Club for more details...I hope this helps,
- Cindythis is legit i got a call from them and got sucked into buying it what they do is give you 80% off a 4day/3night vacation sometimes more or less depending on your location you go to tour a timeshare property but you do get a cheep vacation out of the deal at some really nice resorts....the only thing is you have to pay for travel

- Al L.For the first week only we're offering = all 52 weeks.
An 80% Discount = Yes, if you go on a tour.
On a 5 day / 4 night getaway = This sounds like a timeshare...
It's at one of our [neat adjective] properties at [neat location] = They're trying to point out that you need a vacation.
It's just to promote Marriott's Vacation Ownership = TIMESHARE!
Normally this retails for about = Oh, so it's not actually an 80% discount?
Only 90 minutes of your time = more like 3 hours.
No high pressure sales = high pressure sales/mind games.
We assign you a vacation planner = someone calls you every 3 weeks to get you to commit to a date.
Just a $199 deposit = They want your credit card #.
The rest of it will be charged when you pick a date = They want your credit card #...TONIGHT. Don't do it!
No black out dates = They just charge you an extra $99 for those dates.
Just make sure to book at least 30 days in advance = the dates you want won't be available.
Random 3rd party story = something the telemarketer made up.
Our properties are deeded = you can pass on the maintenance fees to your children.
In other words, Marriott wants you to pay $299-699 to do go visit one of their properties for a timeshare tour so that you can buy some "real-estate" that immediately goes down in value the moment you buy it. Yay!- Caller: Marriott Vacation Club, Int'l

- Richard| 3 repliesI bought the package for St. Thomas, of course I didn't make it easy for the telemarketer I was working with, but in the end she proved the package to be worth my hard earned dollars. I got a packet in the mail with all of the "yada yadas" and all of their phone numbers, (I was impressed with that). The charge on my credit card showed up as Marriott. A vacation planner did call me once a month for 4 months but just to notify my wife and I of any new resort openings and what dates would be best to travel where. I didn't mind it because it gave me a reason to bug my wife. I WANTED A VACATION... Especially a cheaper vacation. We also took the tour along with our kids. The associate who did the tour was good with trying to involve the kids. She would let them open the doors with her keycard and let them sit up front in the golf cart. They were just living it up. We saw the resort and all it had to offer, she asked us what we liked and didn't like and basically asked us to review the resort and make suggestions. My wife and I walked into the tour with an attitude like "Nope. Not buying" was written across our foreheads. So we finished the tour and my wife and I were waiting for the associate to start her pitch. She brought us back to the lobby. Asked if she could do anything else for us. Went to her office gave all of us Marriott Frenchman's Cove water bottles, thanked us for choosing Marriott, opened the door for us and wished us to return soon. We were floored. She never onced asked us to buy. She did review the villas and their prices but she had never asked us to buy. She was either really new or that's just how it goes. All in all even though it was a great vacation to the carribean, there is one thing I don't like... Marriott will only let me take one package deal 12 months apart from one another. Sigh : ( . Oh well. That gives me something to look forward to. I asked them to put me back on their calling list. I recommend taking the package. Yeah you do have to take a tour, but its worth the savings in the end. At least it was for my family and I. Besides they didn't ask us to buy.

- telemarketers-r-scum replies to Richard| 2 repliesthanks for letting us know how well this site works. When the SCAM doesn't work on the phone, the scammers eventually show up on here. Your FILTHY SCAM doesn't work here and you're having more and more trouble running it on the phone, aren't you.
Write when you get HONEST WORK -- that way we'll never have to hear from you again! - Marriott Associate replies to telemarketers-r-scum| 1 replyI've worked with the Marriott as "Telemarketing Scum" for over 4 years now. I can assure you this is all done directly through Marriott Vacations Worldwide. I get paid directly from the Marriott and I get discounts at any Marriott that I stay at because I am a Marriott employee. Not everything out there is a scam, Marriott is a good company to work for. They treat their employees great and their customers even better. This vacation package may not be for everyone but I can assure you we are not some "filthy scam".
- Rita replies to Marriott AssociateI am with you. They will not try to sell you. they really want you to enjoy and the tour isn't boring or pushy. Marriott has gorgeous resorts.
It is a good deal and it is only for some folks. Not everybody and the brother!!! - post pending moderator approval
- NoSpamBoiseThe spammers/scammers are back using this number. Beware!

- Susan replies to AprilYes, it's Marriott Vacation Club. They have new packages in San Francisco and are good deals. They come with, however, meetings to sell you a Timeshare - which we enjoy. Not everyone benefits from Timeshares. Do whatever works for you:)
- Jenny replies to KathiI received a message from this number, too. I called back, they said they are Marriott VC, but could only offer deal by phone description, because they didn’t have my email address. I just said no.
