Received a voicemail today. Number displayed was (920) 545-1125 which is from Watertown, WI. My name was a robo-recording and the male who left the message was obviously reading from a script. Same voice and message as recent calls to me and relatives from M & S Recovery based out of (supposedly) New York. He didn't give his name or the company name. Said his company has attempted to contact me on several occasions and thru several different avenues to obtain a statement. Said my claim was not disputed and was considered accurate. Said if I do not provide correspondence in a timely fashion, it may affect my banking status. Said I should call 888-818-1977 to place a statement on my claim. Other calls from this same (920) number provided a different callback number and threatened to freeze my bank accounts. When I called the (920) number back, it rang 16 times before being disconnected. This is a scam. Better Business Bureau has placed a red alert on M & S Recovery for many complaints of this nature. I have filed complaints with BBB, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and State Attorney General.
