Hi I just received an email that contained the same number. The email said it was for a Dell computer that I never ordered. When I called the number the person said that  they were Dell and offered to search my computer! Obviously I didnt allow that Im copying the content just because you may find it useful.

I just received this email saying it was for a MS Firewall I never ordered. It's obviously a scam. Telephone number is 888-820-8821. I'm concerned that this is phishing and that calling the number is exactly what the sender wants. I'm copying the e-mail content.

Scam email, received email stating I had ordered and receieved an Amazon Firefox.As I had never ordered this item an last year someone had tried to order electronics from Walmart using credit card, which has since been replaced,  I called to tell this company I had NEVER  ordered any tthing from them, instead I am patched through to SOME type of Microsoft Support company, they said I had ordered this past week, I declared I had Not, especially  as I do use my full name, including Middle Name on any email correspondence.  I Call this a Sscam and Fraud.  DO Not place a call to or Answer from them.

Pretty obvious scam -- sad that I'm not the only one.

This is a foreign scammer. I called him pretending to be local telephone fraud investigator working for my city’s police department  and he admitted he was a scammer. Same type of scam email was sent to me as the ones listed above.

I also received the same BS email. careful ppl.

TOTAL SCAM

Just received the same scam email as everyone else for the MS defender firewall l3600, and the amount was $1498. Interesting that everyone is charged a different amount for this product. I never ordered it and I have never heard of these people and it is an obvious scam.

Got same e mail about 12:30 central time. From Billing Dept. same amount. Took it to local police dept. They looked it up and said “ It’s a Scam”. Delete it. They mentioned the number 888-820-8821 must be new.

OK, so I called this 888 number back on my blocked cell phone.  The guy asked for the invoice number from the email and said yes, a computer was ordered and a credit card was used.  He said he could stop the shipment of the computer, and cancel the order.  He never did say he would give me the money back on the credit card (because obviously there was no charge).  He said that even if he canceled this order the hackers still had my credit card # and they could continue ordering stuff.  He said he could transfer me to tech support and they could run a diagnostic on my computer.  However, he wanted me to verify the email address first before transferring me.  I said the email address should be on the order.  He said he couldn't see that information.  i told him to just transfer me and I would give that information to the next person in charge.  He said he needed my email address before transferring me so I got sent to the right department.  i told him he already knew it was for a computer I never ordered and to just transfer me.  And.......CLICK!  I was hung up on.  I guess they are maybe gathering emails so they can try and trap someone with other garbage, and obviously if he had really transferred me I am sure they would have asked to take control of my computer to run their fake diagnostic test.  What a bunch of Indian SCAMMER baloney!!

FYI, you cannot block your phone number or Caller ID from being seen when calling a toll free number.

Received this 10/26/19. Note that this a recurring charge every year! SCAM! SCAM!!! SCAM!!!!
Also notice the improper grammar.  “You will receive an email from us shortly once your product will be functional.”
