I been getting the same call from 1-888-888-8888 for about a month now .. and i gt them at random times .. i never answer as i only answer calls from people i know cuz i have prepaid phone and im not wasting minutes on spam calls... this just great .... first spam on internet, then emails, now phones/cellphones, when will it end?

I been getting the same florida call it has a 727 area code and i been getting the 888 888 8888 number alot .. and i never answer them... i text th florida one saying whwo is this and i got a message back saying "ur message was successfully transferred to an answering machine/ voicemail.

This number called me @ 2:27 am july 31, for the first time. What I'm seeing on this page leads me to believe that they will call again. Within the 12 hrs prior to the call, I had bought a gift card from amscot ( a prepaid Mastercard ) & I had paid to do a web search for an old friend on a people search web site. One of these places could be where the callers are getting their information, since it was only hrs after I did these two things for the first time, that I got the call. I have had harrassing calls on a cell phone before, & can tell you that they usually are generated out of country. I'll write more on the subject later since i must go to work.

They are Indian nationals calling offering you a $1,000 shopping spree if you give them a credit card no. for $1.00 for shipping and handling. They got very nasty when I asked if there were not a more honest way to help their county, and they said there are no poor people in India, why did I think that?  They did not care thatthey violated the DO Not Call registry. I hope I can set the privacy manager to block them

been going on like this for the last week or so... those are just the times still on my cell's history.      Getting really annoying.

i got a call from 888-888-8888 at around 12 and 5 in the afternoon. picked up first time, they hung up, picked up second time, and they said i had won a shopping spree and that they need to confirm my mailing address, i told them i wasn't interested and hung up, they just called back now, i didn't pick up though, next time they call ill say my address is 1600 Pennsylvania avenue, Washington DC

I received a call from 1-888-888-8888. I answered the call, but there was no response. I called the number back, only to hear a recorded message that the number was unavailable.

I've been getting these stupid calls for over a month now on my cell phone. I've told them to take me off the list. I usually just decline the call but the one time I talked to them it was someone with such a heavy accent I could barely understand what they were saying.

These bleeps called 8/3/07 from Money Tree Funding in Woodland Hills, CA. They will be talking to a judge soon!!

Yea had some strange calls from this number as well. i never answer them though , my wife did once and said noone was on the line. so i just ingore it.

After receiving similar calls from this 888 number, I looked up these posts, and found them rather disturbing.  I'm comforted to know that I'm not the only one.  I then looked up the FBI website and found lots of info on calls like these...check it out! www.fbi.gov

I'm not on the do not call list but have never received a telemarketing call before so I never needed to.

Rec'd call from 888-888-8888. Lots of noise in background... then called terminated.  Trying to figure out from where they got my number... realized I recently placed an ad in newspaper. Any coincidence?

they seem to call me in cycles sometimes alot then I get a break then boom..
i read this to them the last time they called and so far it seems to be working:

"calling a home before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. or after you have been told to remove me from your call list is a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and allows me to sue you for a minimum of $500 usd. As I have told "Deepali" on "may the 21st 2007" to remove me from your list and you are now on my phone may I please have your full name spelled for me so I can add you to my pending lawsuit against your company.

the name I got from a web site and the date I made up but so far its worked.

they started to apologize about half way through but I kept reading anyway, that was about 3 1/2 weeks ago unfortunatly yesterday they called on my wifes phone , looking forward to talking to them again

OK so I just received a call from this number again! The first time they called I didn't think much of it, but then they called back again at 5:15AM, this is not a good time to call someone! Both of the times I answered, there was a brief silence (5 seconds or so), and then the call disconnected. I tried calling back the number but was told I dialed a number that could not be reached by my calling area. WTF is this!! How could they get a cell number?? They aren't in the phone books as far as I know! I'll makes sure to record another entry if the calls continue.

Has anyone else received this call on their cell phone?

got a call from this number at 12 am and then a few hours later a little before 6 am. Each time I picked up they hung up right away..The night before I also got a call from a restricted number 3 times in a row and each time I picked up they hung up right away. Just about a half hour ago I got a missed call from a restricted number. I want to call my phone company to see if they can find out who this is.

I just posted a message here saying that I got a couple calls from the 888 888 8888 number and they hung up and also got 3 calls from a restricted no. they hung up and a missed call from a restricted no. and I thought it's weird you got a number from a 727 area code I did too..some lady was like this is diane i wanted to confirm the staff meeting for this afternoon and i was like you have the wrong number..random

It is an outfit in Las Vegas called Unified Services.

Seem to be pretty shady from what I have read.

The call me twice daily everyday and hang up when I ask them where they got my company cell number.

my girlfriends said this is like the 4th or 5th time this number has popped up on our cell. she won't answer any call she doesn't recognize, so she tossed me them phone about 45 minutes agao when they called.i got a hindu gentlman with a very thick (almost un audible)hindu accent. offered me $1000 and a vacation or something. he asked if i was interested. i said no and asked to be removed from the list, and hung up. if this is some weird phishing scam, they picked the wrong couple. neither one of us has a bank account or good credit. HAHAHA if they want my identity to pay my bills for me they are more than welcom to do that for me. any thing i buy online i call my order in, and i use a pre paid gold dot card, that i only load right before i use it. so unless they know what liquor store i cash my paycheck at, or want to try to get to my card before i can use it (which is about 45 minutes after i load it) i'm not to worried about them getting my money. after reading some of the accounts on here i want to see if i can get them to swear at me.
