Called my office this afternoon at 2:04 PM (CDT).  When I answered, I heard a quick click and the line went dead.

I received a call about 9 am today and when I picked it up and said hello they hung up in my ear with a click.  I thought maybe it was someone who needed to reach me so I used last call return and the number was 888 899 0137.  I see that several on here have reported the problem.  So evidently it is a machine or something.  Will complain to Qwest also.

Our business keeps getting hang-ups from this number through out the day

Got a call at my office.  I didn't answer and it rang until voicemail picked up.  When voicemail came on, it went dead.

Called my cell, hung up when I anwered, called it back, rang repeatedly with no answer no voice mail.

For the last couple of weeks I've been getting those hang up calls from this number on my office #.  There have been 4 or 5 occassions where someone was on the other end of the line after it clicked through and asked for someone who doesn't work here.  Each time I reminded them I'm on the FCC Do Not Call list, and they appologize and say they'll remove me. But it hasn't happened. They are sound perfectly american -no accent as far as I could tell. I had 1 woman call me and multiple men. They all sound like they are in their 20's or early 30's from the language they use when you engage them. Nobody would tell me where they were calling from, and when I asked to find out where they got their call list from after telling them they were calling for someone who doesn't work here. They refused to tell and tried to steer the conversation away from the question. I pushed harder today and was put on the phone with a manager (who oddly enough sounded exactly like the man who had made the initial call). He refused to tell me where he got the list. When I told him I was filing another complaint with the fcc http://www.donotcall.gov for anyone else who wants to complain - he appologized. Then I asked who my lawyer could contact about suing his company and he refused to tell me. I asked for an address again and he hung up on me.  I just reported this number to verizon, my provider, and I'm about to report it to the police, FBI, FTC, and the local news.   Who ever these people are, they need to be shut down immediately.

the number calling in was 888-899-0139 - Caller ID: Unknown Name.  The phone company said that the phone is probably set up for outgoing calls only which is why everyone gets a busy signal when they call it.

The phone company suggested engaging with them the next time they call so we can find out more about them and report it to the FBI / FTC / FCC  so if anyone else ends up on the phone with them try and get as much info as you can.

Second or third time I am getting a call from the number 888 899 0137.

I just received calls from this number (888) 899-0137 too!  Nobody there and is very disturbing.  Wish they would stop as I was waiting for an important call and got them instead.

I just got a new phone no. 7 days ago. since than this 888 899 0137 is calling me several times a day, every day!!!! nobody have any idea about who's calling?

No one on the line when I answer

I just got a call on my cell from 888-899-0137.  After saying hello the line went dead.  I recognize this number and feel I have gotten calls from them before.  They immediately hung up then as well.  What's up?  I'm not paying 14.95 to find out who this jerk is.

I got calll from this number. Caller was asking information to renew DM review subscription.
