These are creditors.  They call anybody with the same name as you and hope to get a response.  Don't call them back unless you know you have creditors after you.  Then do the right thing.

They called my mother's phone looking for my brother.  I live in another state and called them back to tell them not to call my disabled mother who is in ill health again.  I hope they didn't document my number in hopes of calling me in the future.  But if they did, I'll be glad to enlighten them with my own vocabulary of words.  Even Sailor talk can't compare.

getting calls from this number, I don't owe anybody and have no lost credit cards. They have no conscience!

It hasn't even been a year since I got my cell phone number changed, and ever since then, these people have been calling me over and over, looking for somebody I don't even know. Maybe they're looking for the last guy who had my number? I don't know and I don't care, I just want them to knock it off. Haven't gotten a call from them in a couple of weeks, maybe they've figured it out and moved on. All I know is that if they call again, whoever is on the other end of the line is going to be running to their mother by the time I get through with them

Recieved a call was an automated voice mail asking for a Larry with the same last name as me. I selected wrong number and waited for a representive they ask if I was or knew the person I said no but I have the same last name and have been getting calls for several people with my last name must be listed with the first letter of my first name and the full last name. He said he would remove this number as a listing for that person. They didn't disclose if this was an attempt to collect a debt  they seem to follow the federal debt collection practices ok. So many of them don't these days. I wish there was some legislation requiring them to do there skip tracing by some other means than random calling people with the same last name.
