Auto-dialed, pre-recorded message.  States call is debt collection attempt and instructs listener call 1-888-899-6031 and speak to General So&So.  (I don't have any debt.)  Suspect scam.

automated sounded message was left stating something vague about a debt and gave a reference number...I don't have any debt or especially not anything in collections...it mentioned somebody named kim or jim lombardi

A real person left a message (at 8 am Saturday) with no name or reason for the call, still called them back - they have been looking for some particular person (provided the name)who I don't know.

Leaves a recorded message to call Mr Manns...does not ask for a specific person....I am a 72 year old female with no bad debts.....so they don't want me....and do not say who the message is for....

I get a call from this number at least twice a week.  I have never answered to phone when this number comes up.  A man's voice leaves a message saying "Call Mr. Manns at 1-888-899-6031, again that number is 1-888-89-6031.  Thank you."  I have never called back because he doesn't say whom he is trying to reach, or the reason for the call.  I thought if we were on the Do Not Call List, we were supposed to be safe from these types of calls.  If this is a debt collector then he is calling the wrong place.  The only debt we have is school loans and we're still in school.  The school would contact us if there were a problem.

Someone called and left a message at my parents house asking me to call back regarding a debt at this number.  

I graduated and haven't lived with my parents since 1992 (it was a different house in a different state and a different phone number back then).  In addition, have I no bad debt.

call 888-899-6061 and ask for mr manns

this number belongs to NCO, scum sucking debt buyer

If NCO leaves a message on your answering machine that indicates you have a debt...most courts would find that to be a violation.

He was very rude and demanded to speak to "George Ugalday" when i have never heard of the name. I told them they had the wrong # and they demanded to speak to the adult of the house. I told them i was and he hung up on me.

Their old number is 866 314 6054. Just what kind of debt collector change their phone number.

It is a scam company. Report it to law enforcement

why dont all you guys stop complaing you obviously have no idea what you are taking about NCO is a huge company with many different numbers. If it is a wrong number they are calling, call them back and they will be glad to take it of for you because its a waste of there time to be calling a wrong number.

I am a Canadian and have never lived in the USA. But somehow, I keep getting calls on my JOB from this company. When I do return the calls, they are refusing to give me details as to why they are calling me. Instead, they are asking for verification of my name and other personal information before disclosing the purpose of their call.
As far as I know, I do not have any credit in the USA, so not really sure as to why a collection company is calling me.
I have done my research and there is no jurisdiction between both countries where debt is concerned, so even if I did have debt, they cannot take any action.
This is crazy!
Don't these people know about privacy laws.

I am also a current student without any debt, and I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone. They have yet to leave a message, though. From what I've read, I guess it's good I've never picked up.

got 3 calls tonite during duke/baylor game. pre-recorded 1st call. 2nd and 3rd hang-ups as soon as
i'd pickup the phone. i promptly returned calls with a nasty reply that if they continued to harass
me on my time i'd do the same every 10 minutes. give it back to em they might get the message.
time to show them the same respect they do us.
