stated it was in regards to an outstanding debt and proceeded to confirm my address per "TransUnion." I have not received any correspondence to such debt and when I asked Luis to what it was it in reference to he claimed I had an impending lawsuit. Again I asked for more information and he said he needed his manager to put in a password to access my file. I'm sure had I allowed his "manager" to come on the line he would have requested me to verify my social, accomplishing what may be their goal. I'm going to agree with others that this is a scam call. He went as far as to call my mother several days ago and urged her to advise me to contact him. Scary to think that we are so vulnerable to this these days.

If you have any questions or concerns that this number is legitimate, it absolutely is not! They called me knew my full social even contacted my human resource DEPT at work to ask for information about me, then tell my HR rep that they were going to fax over some paperwork to give to me regarding a lawsuit from a debt to a jeweler 9 years ago. Which would include what I asked a confirmation of debt and a signed contract that I had a such jewelers. I was close to pay them money but I’m glad I got online and got smart I mean common they had my full social not last four my full social and had the official acct number to my original jewelry store I had a cc with. I asked questions like are there not statue of limitations for something like this and I’m sure it’s well passed, he lied saying no this is considered a asset a private asset which will never have a statue of limitations which is a big fat lie. I ended up talking with a lawyer free of course family ties. And I called the original jewelry store and tracked down my $90 debt that I owed, which they said I owed 1,100, to 5 diff companies that had bought the debt when I got to the last one guess who they never heard of Hudson Rossmoor the people trying to “sue me.” Moral of story don’t let them scare you with it’s a scam!

You are sounding a bit like a shill, but maybe this is out of inexperience.
This number is associated with scam/phony debt collectors using several names. A phone call is NOT legal notice of a dept, that is one clue that this outfit is crooked.  If you read the post you responded to closely, does that sound legit?  Sure sounds sleezy to me.

The first call that came through was a call to my parents home from a private number; I have not used my parent's phone number in over 10 years.  They first asked for my brother, then for me.  They claimed to be a process server for the County where I live and wanted to confirm my address so they could mail the paperwork.  I would not confirm anything she asked, and when I asked what it was in regards to, she became vague but when I asked she gave her name, a badge number, and a case number.  When I asked for the phone number, she provided 888-921-1666 and told me if I wanted additional information, I needed to call them.  She ended the call by saying that I sounded like a smart lady and I needed to do the right thing.  I checked the case number with the court and it is not valid, nor is there anything in my name.  I blocked private callers; they called back again today and was able to confirm the number on the CID.  Based on my research and the lack of any court case, I think this is probably a scam.

This number did not call me, but an unidentified number called me saying they had papers to deliver and they had tried once and couldn't deliver. I told them I didn't know what they were talking about and they gave me a number to call 1-888-817-9323. Lewis or Luis Robles - aggressive, called me a liar.  They answer as a lawfirm. I called a 4th time and a woman answered as a law firm.  I asked, "Are you a law firm." She said that is how I answered". I said, I know how you answered, are you a lawfirm?"  She said, "yes".  There

That's the number that called my brother looking for me. How did they get his number I don't  know because I don't put his number down for anything.  They said I owed a wells Fargo account back in 2010. I asked them how because I never go anything from wells Fargo they claimed I had left my account open and it just accumulated some fees. I knew it was a scam

Got a phone call yesterday from Hudson Rossmore. They stated I had a debt from 2006 with my former credit union. Said they had sent letters to 2 different addresses (untrue)...and I could settle for $500 or wait to be served and it would cost me over $2000. They refused to provide a written verification of debt or proof of last payment. Total [***]. A debt from 2006 is date barred (too old to pursue)...and a debt collector (which they claim not to be) must provide a written verification of debt. I contacted the credit union and even they advised me to ignore because it sounds like a scam...since they wrote it off in 2006...even if they did sell the debt to a collector. Hudson Rossmore are total scammers !!!
