called my sister and said I had 3 pending lawsuits against me. Who is this?

I also received a call from this "company" today between 3-4pm. He called from a number that matches my area code and told me to call the 888-927-0105 back and dial his ext. 116. Gave me the name Dennis Boyd. Asked for my husband to begin with said he was trying to locate me, said my DOB, age and spelling of my name. I told him it was mehe was speaking to. He informed me of pending warrants against me and demanded I pay him a total of 1,250.00! He explained that I had a loan out of another state, which I did not apply for! Had part of my email address and also said a social security number that was listed as mine. I don't apply for personal loans like the one he described so I knew something was up. He kept saying he believed me then would go back and forth to calling me a liar. Said he worked for an attorneys office. Said if I wanted to get rid of the entire thing I would have to pay money within 45 mins. Otherwise they were issuing a warrant for me. Number one. I told him it made no sense. Because he was telling me that the county it was originally in would transfer it to my current county. And I would be picked up by my sheriff here and jailed here for the weekend! It don't work that way lol. So I just told him I'd call him back. Asked for his info. Instead of calling the local number he wanted me to call the 888 number. I never did call him back I callled mt local PD. They said NEVER listen to or pay these people money. If you have court actions against you then the courts would serve you! I already knew all this.
Wednesday I received a similar call as well except it was a private caller but gave me a 858# and an ext. That guy identified himself as John Edwards at ext. 1005. They also called my mother. Except that one was looking for my husband and he was asking for us to pay 1,682.00 immediately or it was going to court and then he would be jailed. Truthfully as scary as it was, I kind of knew something was fishy. I have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal law/Criminology. The process they explain was illigitimate! So I told them next time make sure they study a little more before they call someone that is more educated then them! Hope this helps you out and makes you feel better. You can also do as I did and contact the FTC @ 877-383-4357. File a complaint on them so that they can get these scammers where they belong!!! Don't be surprised if they go after your husband or someone else in your household as they did me.

They also called my mother. Except that one was looking for my husband and he was asking for us to pay 1,682.00 immediately or it was going to court and then he would be jailed and his wages garnished, up to 75% of his paycheck!
