- Anonymoose| 2 repliesThe phone number was provided as a fake customer service number on yahoo. It is also on several other sites, which clued me into it being a fake.
They asked to 'share my computer screen,' but I'm having none of that. - sean replies to Anonymoosesame thing happened to me. totally seemed like a scam.
- Ron| 1 replyJohn with India accent tried to hard sell on "Cisco authorized tech support.." He represented himself as Yahoo Support. Requested to use LogMeInRescue on my PC.I powered off my machine and hung up on him. I believe this is a scam to sell tech support. He tried to show me that the "Russian Hacker" had taken control of my machine.
- Caller: Yahoo support
- DB replies to AnonymooseI just called them and they immediately asked me for my email address, which I clearly denied them
Then the voice on the phone told me that his name was "Alex Parker" when he was clearly Pakistani/Indian.
He "didn't have a customer number" and then got VERY upset when I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor.
This is clearly a scam. - Christine replies to RonThe same exact thing just happened to me. I called this number thinking it was Yahoo support to help with an issue I am having in not being able to search my mail. Unfortunately I let "John" with an India accent access my computer through Logmein123. He told me the "Russian Hacker" story, and then tried to hard sell me on the lifetime "Cisco authorized tech support" for $199. Ugh. Usually I am more vigilant. I hope nothing more comes of my allowing "John" access to my computer. :(
- anonymous| 1 replyI too called this number today, because i cannot reinstall my messenger.
Immediately he told me I had 4 hackers in my computer and I did give him my email address,
he told me my hackers were from Arizona.
he too was from pakistan..... He got angry and rude when I would not pay for him to fix it.
YAHOO DOES NOT CHARGE!!!!! First he told me it would cost anywhere from 300 to 400
to repair my computer.
Then he told me could I pay 199.00 then he lowered it to 149.00
then he lowered it to 99.00
I knew it was a scam........ To top it off he never even answered the phone that he was Yahoo tech support.
I think YAHOO fired all their employees, I cannot find a legitimate yahoo tech support.
none of their phone numbers work. Nobody wants to help- Caller: nobody called me
- yahoo77 replies to anonymousyes, i wonder, does yahoo need to be investigated? i fell for fake the support team, don't know what my computer is in for because of this ... the real number now states they have a new way of customer support and it redirects you to their website which surprise ... most often does not cover the issues. no phone number no humans to talk to 800-730-2669 states to type in help.yahoo.com for help ... shouldn't a major company have a customer support center?
- lifestyle2000ccunfortunately, On 6/17/2015 i was given this number from yahoo community support center website. I fell for it all the way to them getting to my remote share looking all my files etc. i figured it out but not until they put up a desk top file in front of the dialog box he was searching through and i realized i had just been fd . i don't know what he has done to my computer but yahoo must cover the cost if something happens ... i was given the name kevin kevin

- JoeyDee replies to JohnLying shill, who is down voting every valid report of the scam that this number calls from.
- JoeyDee replies to NeoAnswer this: If this number represents a company that really helped you, WHY would you search for it on a known SCAM NUMBER web site?
I'll answer the question: It's simple. You are a shill. It's OBVIOUS, - JoeyDee replies to Jason JonesAnother lying shill.
- U.R.Fullofit replies to JohnU.R.Fullofit!!! Another flunky in the Mumbai School of Shilling.
- MJG replies to Jason JonesPULEEZE---try a better line.
- U.R.Fullofit replies to NeoAnother SHILL ALERT!!!
- qwerty replies to NeoSo now the multiple personality shill has registered an account. No matter. You are still just a lying criminal who should at least try to learn the language of your intended victims.
- BigA replies to NeoI would have to say you are too dimwitted to get a job or even know how to use e mail. Yahoo has a simple procedure to recover lost passwords. Takes all of about 45 seconds. No one has to access your computer to do it. So if they did access your computer, which I doubt because it is plain to see that you are so stupid you have to steal for a living, they now have all your banking information. Of course in your case that shouldn't be a problem because everything you make goes into your arm. If you were in India, even the sacred cows and the untouchables would have nothing to do with you. You wouldn't even be able to pick up the cow patties because the cows wouldn't want you anywhere near them.
