Got a call that showed up on my caller ID as "Metra" from a 708 number, it was a recorded message indicating I was a finalist in a drawing for an SUV and to call this guy back at 888-927-7493.  Don't plan on calling him back at all, feels like a scam.

had a message from 708-748-9631 with same info "you're a finalist in a drawing I entered for an SUV".  Started to call back just to check it out and realized he never used my name. Feels suspicious. Think I'll pass on returning the call.

Same deal- message that I won an SUV.  never used my name.  Sure it is a scam.

I just received the same call.  Must be a scam.

Message left said I was referred by someone and they were offering me a free heart scan

Got a call from caller id 708 748-90657.  "Chris Kuba" (had a very strange whiny voice) said to call him back at 888 927-7493 x500 to schedule a free CT scan normally $500.  I had been recommended by a "friend or family member."  I did not call back.

Ditto here.  Definitely suspicious.  Most certainly not returning call.

Got a call from this # saying the pulled my name from my entry & I won a free trip. Caller ID said Sew & Vac WTH? Haven't filled out an entry form in about 15 yrs and I would never put my home # on it.
Scam for sure.

Got a message to call 888 927 7493 as I won a Lincoln Maverick in a contest I entered.  Well, I never entered any contest so not calling back.

OK folks ... I called. The message I received was from "kevin" who called from the number 708.748.9057 listed on my caller ID as Sew & Vac. The message stated I won a Lincoln SUV and I need to return the call to 888.927.7493 ext. 100.

I called the 708.748.9057 number first. After one ring the call was answered. After a brief silence a recorded voice said "Good-bye" and the call was disconnected. I tried it again! Same thing happened.

So I called the 888.927.7493 number. My call was answered by Sheila. I asked for ext #100 Kevin. She said "Kevin was and assistant there and she could help me." She asked for my name and telephone number. I provided the correct telephone number as they already had it in their records and gave them the name of my late brother. After a brief "hold" Sheila came back, verified my name and again stated I had WON the Lincoln SUV. She then asked if I was married or had a girlfriend. I said "no ... why do you want a date?" She very calmly replied the "sponsor of the promotion required I be married, or with a girlfriend, or cohabitating with someone". Sheila asked again if I was in any such situation and when I said no she said "I'm sorry" and hung up. I tried calling the number back twice to ask further information and the number I called was not answered.

By the way ... I am an attorney and these numbers will be reported to the State of Illinois Attorney General's office for further investigation.

Yep, same here.  i called about my being a finalist... he/she whiny voice hung up on me when I asked who they were.
on my caller ID they are called Gift Promotions 1 (708) 748-9453.

Glad I checked this out.  If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.  Yep, thanks everyone, saved me from having to deal with this.

I Got the exact same message as you did John.  I called back, but got no answer, probably too late at night,  The call came from 708-748-9115 and the message said to call Kevin Blue back at 888-927-7493 ext 100..  
I also got the exact same message from someone named Sean Wilkin from Fateful (Faithful? couldn't really tell as the sound was so bad) Marketing. Only the call back number was different.  This time 866-312-9553 ext 243.  This time when I called I got forwarded to a voice message that said I was calling Mitchell Communications Group and that I should leave a message with my name and phone number.  So feel free to add the additional number to your list for the Atttorney General.  I'd like to get one of these jokers on the phone and give them a piece of my mind.  Get a real job!!!

I got the call today and reported it to the Do Not Call Registry. He said he was "Kevin Blue". He said I was a finalist for a Lincoln Navigator or Ford Explorer. He said it was very important that I call him back at 888-927-9115 ext. 100. I did call and the lady said he was out. I asked her how he could be out when he had just called me. She couldn't answer it. The actual call came from 708-748-9115 which is registered to a woman named Tashia Love in Illinois. Stuff like this really makes me mad. It is stupidity.

It gets even more entertaining; received same call from both 708-748-9626 & 708-748-9649 (latter is actually a payphone at a church). A 'whiney' voice said to call back at 1-800-927-7493 since I was a 'finalist' to win a vehicle. Just adding my 2-cents. I never called them & will never call them. Shmucks....

Same thing, received call from "GIFT PROMOTIONS 708-748-9631". I won a new Lincoln Navigator or Ford Explorer. I did not call back. They have called several times threatening it would be my last chance. Enough already!!!

Received a call from Kevin Blue.  Tried to call back 888-927-7493 ext.100 but no on ever answers.  When he called he did not ask for anyone by name.  Had a feeling it was a scam.  I am going to report
this number to Louisiana Attorney General's office (225-326-6705).  I think the Federal Communications
should also be notified (888-225-5322)  Tired of scam calls-they need to get a real job.

I am a finalist in a drawing to win a Lincoln Navigator or Ford Explorer SUV.  They wanted me to come to a place called "Anchor Blue" in Gurnee to get a scratch off ticket to find out if I win the vehicle or one of three other prizes, including a vacation.   Sounds like a timeshare promotion based on what I've read elsewhere.
